Hi All,
As I sit here listening to music, I'm curious who everybody loves in terms of guitar players. Whether you are a player yourself, or just a fan of music, who do you find yourself listening to most?
My favorite player is Mark Knopfler, formerly of Dire Straits fame. He does not shred like Eddie Van Halen or Steve Vai, but there's more to being a great guitar player than just ripping up the frets. Knopfler makes every single note count, his tone is unmistakable, and he has an incredible "claw-hammer" finger style.
Other than him, I also love Nils Lofgren (The E Street Band, Grin, Crazy Horse), John Squire (Stone Roses, The Seahorses), Johnny Winter, Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars, Black Crowes), Marc Ford (Black Crowes), Johnny Marr (The Smiths) and George Harrison (The Beatles).
Okay, now you go
