With today's update, Kalamos Komics is proud to announce the "Tribute Series".
Homages to artists and characters who - for a reason or another - left an impression on me.
My first tribute I'm devoting to one of my favourite directors - visionary Tim Burton.

Ah yes, I fondly remember these two classics! Sterling tributes to movies no less memorable and a worthy recognition of the warped genius of master visionary Tim Burton! Each celebrates an unusual quirk its creator also exploited to fine effect… the marriage of fetching female features with decrepitude and dismemberment. It's a daunting trick to exert the latter without compromising the former… one which Burton pulled off expertly, and which you likewise manage perfectly despite the additional strain of maintaining the ardor of tickle titillation! An exquisite sense of taste (pushing boundaries to their limits, but not so far as to be off-putting) and superb celebrity capture accounts for much of the success; couple this with a well-practiced eye for composition and color! Burton himself included a "kitchie-coo" moment in "The Nightmare Before Christmas" which incorporated these opposing dynamics… it's hard to believe he'd be anything but thrilled with these interpretations!

The teases are most tantalizing, a tempting array of subjects and styles! Can't wait to see who's next for kudos!

I chose to "resurrect" those for a couple of reasons.

An artist over Facebook was showcasing some Tim Burton homage art of hers.
I wanted to share mine, too.
Nightmare featured some nudity, so I tweaked it to comply with fb rules.
Also, Oogie Loogie could use a chromatic revamp.
Corpse I had never shared over Deviantart anyway.
So I was set.

Also, over the previous weeks I had drawn other tribute pieces.
Some were meant as collab art for C.A.B. and Colin.
Others were just fun pieces I did for my own good.
Kept them secret; only a couple RL pals got to see them.
"Our friend, the sorceress, Man-at-Arms, and Orko..."
I seldom draw fan art - not being a big fan of anything in particular.
But the idea was starting to coalesce in my mind.
And at last I had enough "fan art" to start a series.

The teases are most tantalizing, a tempting array of subjects and styles!
Can't wait to see who's next for kudos!

Most are M/F pieces.
Some are a bit shocking - bordering hentai territory.
They were deemed unsuitable for publishing - which is nice in a twisted way.
A few are F/M or femdom pictures.
Not my usual genre, but ladies and some gents happen to have a taste for them.
To each his/her/its own I guess.

More in the following weeks I guess.

I've done darker, both in the past and recently.
I have your addie; maybe I'll show. You'll tell.

Tim Burton is not really dark - he's pretty much light, once you realise his skewed angle.
The rest of the previews are quite light on the whole.

With what I'm seeing on TMF of late, nothing I draw is really that dark.
To me, non-con is the darkest.

1. I find "Sleepy Hollow" dark...
2. My perception of dark is sunrise... Oops.

3. If non-con is just a fantasy, then, it shall remain a fantasy.

Kalbaku!

So... this young lady at the latest Fetlife munch, last Friday 13th, comes over and questions me about my fetishes and stuff.
I am not typically lost for words, yet I deemed art would be a more fitting vessel for a proper answer.
Thought to action, I presented her with a quick sketch.
Which I eventually turned into the full colour art I'm presenting to you guys.

Iron Man Kal takes charge of the situation personally! The object of your attention is quite fetching… I doubt I could keep my hands off either! She seems a bit more demure in the original sketch… perhaps the brush strokes have helped to awaken her ardor! The bookended finished portraits are quite handsome; interestingly, the initial view offers some pixilated editing around the nipple area that doesn't appear when one accesses the thumbnails (it does for me, anyway). Giving errant kids one last chance to bail out? It is interesting to see the picture both ways.

Plus, posting non-tk art in the tk forum felt like cheating.

Go Go Nagai! Atypical subjects, though able demonstrations of your wide interest range, playful attitude, fine compositional sense and color balance. I'm a lot less familiar with this Transor-Z stuff than I am with Nagai's Cutey Honey or Kekko Kamen; however, this is extremely attractive and fun-filled! Trust Kal to get steel squealing with laughter!

Cool character design! The bulldog might be Spike, best known from the MGM Tom and Jerry cartoons, but he was also featured in Avery's Droopy series as a comic foil. The cat character is unknown to me (again, can't get enough of cute cat girls!)... but I'd sure like to get to know her better!

Bo's comment prompted me to update the pic, though.
I wanted the cat girl to look superb as well.
And I felt her features were somewhat lacking anyway, so I reworked her face a bit to be more human-like.

I've never been a fan of Masters of the Universe (the toy line was clunky and the cartoon series lame-brained), but it has proved a happy inspiration for more of your favorite subject matter of gorgeous gals in battle gear! More entertainment value in your skilled hands than in the whole rest of the concept put together!

Ah yes! Octopus are always welcome! As ticklers or just generally, but particularly as ticklers! Very nice form indeed, both the lady and the poulp (to the extent that calamari have any sort of fixed structure). The background waves display a pleasing feel for Japanese screen art, as well! Very classy!
