Why do Producers not use tight plastic wrap anymore?

I can understand at this time of year why, with it getting hot, but I have noticed looking at clips that none I have seen use it anymore.

Plastic wrap is extremely difficult to work with. Even with a lee who is cooperating and doing exactly as you ask, it is a serious pain in the neck to tightly wrap someone in seran wrap. You mentioned the heat issue, and it does get hot in there, VERY hot. It's also quite uncomfortable for the lee, due to the edges sometimes rolling and cutting off circulation.

Some producers still use it (I plan to do a shoot or two with it in the future), but it's too tough to work with to be very popular.
 
Having been wrapped by MZ twice in plastic wrap, I can say that it becomes very uncomfortable (with heat and sweat) in a short time. Even in a cool air-conditioned room, to put it bluntly, I sweated profusely and turned red in about 20 minutes.
 
Also, without proper scissors, it's a pain in the ass to get out of. Especially in any kind of emergency situation.
 
He was probably only wrapped like that for about 25 or 30 minutes, and I guarantee he was all sweaty afterwards.
 
Well I am saying it does not have to be full body. It could be on a board with just the legs and arms. I can understand the uncomfortablness of it being full body and tight against a hard surface.

I concur. Having been wrapped in that stuff for a time (at least half an hour, if I recall correctly) it gets very hot very quickly. There are advantages, to be sure: cut a small hole open and you have nice access to wherever you like, with little the 'lee can do about it. You can also (if you have the strength) fairly easily move the person around, as they are easy to roll about. Circulation is an issue: bony HDS made the mistake of placing his arms at his sides when wrapped up, resulting in circulation through the wrists being cut off by hipbones. Two incisions (to let my hands move freely) were made, which didn't affect the bondage too much, but it is an issue, especially if you make it so the 'lee can't voice distress as easily. (or if the 'lee doesn't notice)
 
I think wrapping is good for a fetish photoshoot with minimal to no contact play. Other then that, it's just a pain in the ass.

Maybe the cutesy wrapping in a blanket, but not necessarily binding them down will suffice. But based on what I've heard of the experience in a long(er) session? Doesn't sound like fun.

I hate restriction like that on a personal note.
 
It all depends on who you play with also.
Like the picture I posted over here. She was wrapped like this for 2-3 hours. She loved the feeling of being helpless like this...
 
Thanks for these answers guys, and gal. But no one answered about the feeling of just the arms and legs wrapped yet. If you guys remember some of the old Real Tickling Videos sometimes just the arms and legs were wrapped. It would leave the body a lot more cooler, and if you do not make it tight around the wrist or ankles blood circulation should be fine.

And to answer your question cavum yes that works pretty nice. I just hope she was alright.
