chat room won't work

All of a sudden, I can't get in the chat room now. Keeps saying the link to get into the chat room does not meat Java security requirements. I don't know why this is because it was working just fine earlier now I can't get in. Anyone else having this issue?

That problem may be related to a recent Java security update.

None of those are what my problem is. I was in the chat room earlier before this happened. Talking with Karen and Senshi now I can't get back in because I keep getting this error.

I haven't seen that error before. :/ Judging by what it says in the error box, here's what I'd try:

- Pull up the Java exception list (steps on how to do that here).

- Add the following address to the list:
http://client0.addonchat.com/current/addonchat-signed-en.jnlp
(This is the address that it said was not currently included on the exception list)

- Try to load the chat room again.

If it still doesn't work, you might want to try simply adding http://client0.addonchat.com to the exceptions list, to try and cover everything within that domain automatically.

The Addonchat servers are currently being updated, and it's causing widespread glitches and problems for a lot of people, but this is the first I've heard of anyone being competely blocked. It's possible that it'll simply subside when they finish whatever it is they're doing, but you might want to give those steps a try.

What I did to slide past the issue, once I allowed all of the exceptions, was look up 'Tickletheater chat' on google. it let me right in then.

And also, this afternoon in particular, the chat actually has been disconnecting and not allowing people to re-enter. I'm hoping this is to do with AddOnChat's maintenance. :/ If that's the case, it should rebalance itself soon. I understand, though, it's still frustrating.

UPDATE: And apparantly it's working again. It's anyone's game, folks - come and try your luck.
