General Conduct - Corollary to Basic Rules.

Interaction Between PCs and NPCs

01.00
You cannot kill or control characters without respective Player's or Narrators' permission.

01.01
You *shouldn't* kill characters at all.
This RPG revolves around interaction and tickling.
Please consider firing up Quake, instead.

01.02
This RPG works on free-form mechanics; this means we are not referring to an extensive rule-system for stats, levels and combat.
This is a deliberate choice: we aim to keep book-keeping low, so Players and Narrators alike can focus on the story.
Combat in particular requires some book-keeping, so it is both unsatisfactory and complex to manage under free form.

01.03
If you'd still like to commence or take part in combat, please allow other players to withdraw from in any moment, freely.
Please, do NOT force combat [or interaction] upon PCs or NPCs without Narrators' supervision - and involved players' permission.

01.04
Please, be brief when posting Combat Actions: just describe your character's intended course of action for the next few seconds.
Please, avoid posting the outcome of combat actions.
Fighting is a messy unpredictable affair: Narrators decide the outcome, basing on adopted tactics, equipment, training and so on.

01.05
Surviving combat is a prize in itself.
Your characters won't gain Experience Point from vanquishing foes - PCs or NPCs alike - so it is pointless to start fighting unless forced to.

01.06
Creating or playing moderately powerful characters is not inherently against this RPG's spirit.
We DID allow characters with extremely different powers, in strength and scope.
It was meant to create a varied gaming experience, not to give unfair advantage over other characters.

01.07
We'd like to discourage players from abusing their character's powers at our fellow gamers' expenses.
Please note: no matter how strong, influential or magically attuned your character is, Narrators can bring *more* powerful foes in.
Please note: whatever you do to PCs and NPCs, might be done to your character as well.

Character's Knowledge Vs. Player's Knowledge.

02.00
Keep separate what you know from what your character is aware of.

02.01
Please, avoid referring to other characters by their first name, title, position, unless your character has a way to know it/them.

02.02
Before formal introductions, refer to an unknown character in general terms: boy, girl, man, woman, humanoid.

02.03
When in doubt, please read character sheets to learn about a given character's appearance/mannerism.
It will also help to keep the inconsistencies down.
