A little nostalgia
After the Carrie Underwood intro, a voice over continued:
"Once upon a time there were two teams who played a game called football that everybody loved...and they came together on a Sunday night.. (cut to an introduction of Heidi on a TV). The lady looks into the camera with the movie playing in the background... "Sorry, too soon?"
Actress Jennifer Edwards goes on, "55 years ago this week, a movie I was in as a little girl kind of, how do I say this, got in the way of football. The Jets and Raiders played an epic game that would go down to the final moments. Only America didn't get to see the Raiders come back and win because the network switched off the game to go to my movie, Heidi. So tonight, we're going to get it right and show you the whole game. Though if the ending isn't the happily ever after for your team..." she looks into the camera again "Don't blame me!"
That's about as classic an intro as I've ever seen, I roared with laughter (even though the incident happened 5 months before I was born)!!
