Hi Bombers! Thanks for the inquiry! Yeah, the Low Roads jabber sure does manage to become florid, doesn't it! The language, attitudes and setting of the series are vaguely mid-to-late 19th century, though some anachronisms are prone to creep in (Mercy will spout hipster palaver on occasion, while her dress is far too relaxed and revealing for the 1800s). I read a lot of Gothic and Victorian literature in my youth, which is where my sense of verbal style stems from. I doubt it's strictly by-the-book accurate, but it's close enough for my purposes.
You contemplating any sort of Teeva comix story, perchance? It'd be a terrific springboard for our favorite yummy lime lady, and comix are a most rewarding format to do!
