Your personal views of the TMF: What opinions have you developed?

This question is posed to all members. Not only those that have been around for years and years. You could have just been here for a month and developed your own personal opinion of the forum.

Are you happy with what you see going on, or do you wish to backtrack to different times?

If you had the ability to put forth a change of any kind, what would it be?

Are there aspects of the forum that frustrate you, but you hesitate to speak about?

I'm one of the many (I'm sure) here that has accounts with other tickling forums, and I can honestly say that none of them carry the feel that this forum does. I do personally wish that folks could get along better under certain circumstances and if I could change something, I would try to encourage those hesitant of participating to partake in what the community offers.

Amongst a few other things, of course. 😀

I'm not one of the veterans, so I couldn't offer an opinion on forms of back-tracking.

I don't fear change as far as the forum goes and would love to see it evolve further, by everyone's efforts. Due to the amount of personality's filling the forum, there is always going to be an element of hostility or friction, but I feel that it's possible to co-exists within the community regardless of issues. Everything gets taken care of eventually.

Put me down as a vote for backtracking. In my opinion this has been the TMF's worst year ever. In the interest of avoiding administrative wrath, I'll decline to go into any further detail.

While I really like the forum and this being the only one I currently belong to, I get along with mostly everyone here. However, there are a few people who are CONSTANTLY rude to me, especially if its over an opinion.

I would just like to see people not trying to constantly start drama.

I'm happy with it. Like you said, with SO many different personalities there is bound to be drama. Just because we're all adults doesn't mean we always act like adults. I'll be the 1st to admit I can have a temper and take things too far at times, as can everyone I think. But you're going to have that kind of thing ANYWHERE in ANy community. So all in all, I'm happy with things as they are here.

I can't really talk about back-tracking because even though I've been here for awhile, I didn't post much until very recently, which is another reason I like it here. Even though it took me about 6 years of lurking, when I finally did decide to make my grand entrance I felt like I was welcomed with open arms.

So yes, I enjoy the TMF 🙂

I've held the opinion for a while that some of the people who post here are only here to make themselves look better than most others; there are far too many opinions flying about without much understanding between them, whether it be intentional or not.

I suggest that there could be a time when these cliques become more profound and as such we'll see people become (more) hostile to each other and this community face-plants the internet pavement. This is, however, a 'worst scenario'. I recognise that there are plenty of other great posts and posters here, and I'm happy about the low level of non-clique-type activity.

That said, there are many great people here and a vast amount of thought provoking, and friendly posts. I hope that continues and that my 'prediction' is utterly wrong.

I have formed the opinion that a lot of foot fetishists are weird, one-dimensional characters, and that dominant types are usually twats as well. I have also formed the impression that just because a person looks like Pancho Villa it doesn't necessarily mean that person is cool.

I'm fine with it. The forum has grown more in recent years than I ever would have imagined when I was first starting out. I'd never change a thing about that. Like Jo, I think I'd like to see more of the lurkers come out and contribute, but that is something that is wildly out of our control. It's up to the individual. I would like to see less arguments and drama, but in a forum that has sooooooo many members with different personalities, that's just going to happen sometimes.

this is about as much as i expect from a fetish forum. I'm in the same boat as you, haven't been here long enough to see how things progressed. I could do without some people though, but there's always some people who you just don't like.

OK, I'll weigh in:

I wouldn't mind backtracking to when the forum was majorly */F in nature with a minor in F/M. This is just due to my own preferences obviously. Sometimes I miss the good ol' days...

If you had the ability to put forth a change of any kind, what would it be?
Anything at all? I wouldn't allow M/M material. I know I may send some running to grab their pitchforks and torches BUT I say this because there are other forums specifically dedicated to M/M tickling, so I don't see any "need" for it here. It's like it's spilling out of the dedicated forums and now, to be Politically Correct, we have to act like it's all good.
When the TMF started, it was */F after all...

Yes, to be brutally honest. I just still don't get the whole Furry thing. I know I may get the allegedly fur covered people in an uproar, but I don't understand why the TMF is becoming more furry oriented? Again, it's like everyone wants to be PC and won't suggest they should stick to a dedicated forum (I'll admit, I don't even know if there is one or not). It feels to me like the art forum is getting over run with these furry characters at times. Personally, I like my tickling to involve humans! All this tickling anthropormorphic creatures just seems...unusual...almost blurring the lines of beastiality or something...

Now understand, while some might take offense to what I have said, CrystalLight asked an open question and I gave my honest answers. You may agree or disagree, thats up to you.

When I joined the TMF had about 30,000 members. In a little less than 3 years it now has over 76,000 members. And like a growing city it has more traffic and more people which can make for a bit more controversy between members. Personally, I come here to relax from the stress that sometimes goes with my job and I can be found mainly in the Silly or General sections.

What would I change? Perhaps the way a few go about disagreeing with someone else's opinion in a post. The thread asks for your opinion and you give it only to have a very few attack the opinion or poster because they don't agree with the poster's opinion. I would just like to see a person who doesn't agree with someone else just say so and express their reasons why without personally attacking the poster or what the poster thinks. Even if it is done in a seemingly amusing way (at least the attacker might think so) it is still uncalled for and makes the attacker look more foolish than the person they are trying to denigrate.

Aspects that I am hestitant to speak about? Some people who attack the site itself. I belong to three sites like this but this one suits me the best. My question is if they don't like it here for their own reasons, then why stay? They are under no obligation to this place so there is no need to waste their time here.

Backtrack to different times? No, simply because it can't be done. Unfortunately time is a constant moving thing and it only goes forward and this place will grow and change is going to happen. The influx of new people with their talents, ideas, and personalities will see to that.

This is what I think anyway.

This is a great place to post your stories, photos, drawings, or clips about tickling to an audience that appreciates them. 😀

Beyond that, I recommend that everybody use the "Ignore List" utility to keep from being annoyed by whichever members you consider to be a**holes.

I joined the forum mostly to answer questions about my "interest". I was curious and needed to know I wasn't alone. I really enjoy this community because I don't feel so "weird" among everyone here. When I have an experience I run home and tell my friends from the TMF. As far as people being annoying and what not, you get that anywhere and there isn't anything you can do about it. I haven't been here long so I can't state what I feel would be different. I like the content on the forum, especially anything mainstream. I love that the forum keeps growing and I can't wait to see how it evolves over time. The one thing I would like is to see people more active. I know I lurked for quite some time, and it seems we have a lot of people "de-lurking" now, but there are still lots that don't participate. I don't know if there is a way to be more welcoming or what, but it would be cool to have more people participating.

TMF is great.

IMO, the only problems are the ones we create. Same for drama.

I think it's great that there's a wide variety of people and opinions, keeps things fresh.

I for one love to 'think outside the box' [of my own perspective] and even be disagreed with. It's thought provoking amongst other things.

And I've never used the 'ignore list'... [yet?]

Yous' guys are all great in my book.

I wouldn't really change a thing.

I can't say anything of how TMF used to be.... I however am enjoying myself and made some great friends...and this TMF family has helped me get through a tough year...... 🙂

I've been around the TMF for about a decade, and although it's gotten a lot bigger and thus a little less personable, I've found that whenever I dip back into it for a while, it's as welcoming as ever. We're a good community made up of good people, and I think that says a lot. 🙂

Things I'd change? I honestly can't think of any. 🙂

I like it here, always have. It keeps getting bigger and better. This has been a great year for the community. We've had a large number of people delurk and get involved and even larger numbers of new people coming out and getting involved. TMF Radio was born and there are a large number of munches being planned. Of course it's painfully evident some despise all of this, which is sad, because this is how the place grows better all the time. The community has great people that are willing to not only get together, but go the extra mile in times of need.

I've seen it from day one, so would I backtrack? Absolutely not. Living in the past only helps you to wallow around in the present. Enjoy memories of nostalgia, not try to be Dr Frankenstein and hopelessly resurrect it.

Things I'd change.... same as Kered. Be nice in threads. People's opinions are just that. Why be ugly when you disagree? Just say it calmly and move on. People who are here just to complain and take pots shots can go as well.

Overall....love it.

Well, I guess to be brutally honest I don't like when girls harp over and over on how rough they have it here or how much they are assaulted or something. You'd think there was some sort of rape or playground bullying going on after they take your lunch money and kick dust in your face and spit on your head. It's just people you can block, or just taking your messenger name off your profile. Seems like...unecessary 'poor baby' syndrome. Yeah it's annoying, but I guess that's as far as I would extend it. An annoyance. It's the internet, and also a fetish forum. Not sure what else you can expect from either, no matter how much you wish things were differen.

Sometimes blind loyalty is annoying too. People jumping in to save others when it seems like it's not really necessary. I don't defend my friends when they are wrong. That doesn't mean they aren't my friends. It just means they are my friends and are wrong.

I will chime in!!!!

I love the forum today as I have in the past. There are things that are a part of the forum today that we did not have in the past. There are also things from the past that have not been left in place or enforced. One of those ideas is the the "Golden Rule" requirement in posting to other people's threads. You must post your opinion without attacking the original poster. I would love to see the "Golden Rule" enforced more.

The forum has always been like a family to me. I have always felt like I could come and share my problems with the members and find some comfort here. When I have posted about my problems in the past I have received numerous PM's asking me what people could do or how they could help me. Lately, though I have noticed that people refrain from posting to my post about my problems expressing their condolences.

Also as a family we have seen this place grow with some of the lurkers coming out from the shadows and de-lurking, but we have also seen some of the veteran members leaving or climbing back into the shadows like: TicklesHotel, QB Weaver, and 4 Pawz. We need to keep all our members happy to classify the forum as a huge success/family.

Overall, I love the forum and would hate to see anything horrible happen to it. I would love to here from some of the older members.

There is an “Ignore List” I did not know…it might have something to do with the fact nobody messages me so I haven’t discovered it 😛 LOL

I’m still a newbie to this wonderful place and most of you post a lot more then me (I mean CrystalLight has been here only 6 months more then me and she posted over 5000 time) but all I know is when I found this place a huge hole was filled in my life.🙂

Everyone has been so supportive to me, always offer great (if not sometimes controversial) advice and opinions, but above all let me know I was not alone out there.

I will leave you with two quotes which hopefully everyone will remember in order to make this forum the best it can be:

nice thread this is like a second home away from stress life work. It is a place to shoot the shit relax comment and have a great time. One if not my best friend i met here.
