One of my favorite tickle torture tropes is the old "Interrogated Spy" standby. And here again from the images that impressed upon my youth, is the lovely and resourceful Mrs. Emma Peel (as portrayed by the British bombshell, Dianna Rigg) from the 1960's 'T.V. series The Avengers'. The show was a bit sober and dry by today's standards, but every once in a while the writers threw in a bizarre curve-ball. During Dianna Rigg's tenure as government spy Mrs. Peel, there were more than a few foot, tickling, and DID bondage scenes to suggest that at least one of the writers at the BBC was a kinky little git.
In this scene, Mrs. Peel finds herself in the clutches of some over-stimulation interrogation techniques, including a newfangled TENS unit on the naughty bits and an improbable tickle torture toy. Will she succumb and spill all of 'Mother's' secrets or will Steed (the incomparable Patrick Macnee) save her in time… uh oh… looks like Steed has run into a sticky wicket himself as seen on the villain's monitor. Guess we have no choice but to endure Mrs. Peel's suffering with her. Life is good. 😉
