Liner Notes: A little something for all of you stuck in the cold to warm your fetishy cockles…

I am proud to present the very first Tales of the Desperate in its first full issue retro comic book PDF form. I am also very pleased to thank my friends and colleagues, without whom this fabulously fiendish project would not have been possible: Fantasy Play, Tee Hee Lawrence, Doctor Random, Yurihausen, Suikoden, Kered, Crystal Light, and Goth.

I would also like to pay homage to the giants that came before and filled our childhoods with such wonderfully gruesome memories… Steve Ditko, Jack Davis, Bill Gaines, Al Feldstein, All the crews at EC, D.C., and Marvel in the golden and silver age of horror comics. And a very special nod to Frederic Wertham, who, judging by what we have produced here decades on, might have been right all along.

So without further ado, please DOWNLOAD HERE and enjoy the PDF at will.

Fucking Awesome C.A.B. Im a fan of E.C and I adore tickling with an absolute passion. You've done a great job of blending these two together. Divine is wonderful. Please don't stop. Give us more. If Im begging then that what it be. Love it!
 
That was one of the coolest things ive seen, fetish related or not, in some time.....the tone, the look, everything is spot on, the advertisements are hilarious, you all did an amazing job with this , I salute you!

This is an awesome project. Hugely generous. Community focused. Just awesome.

And the CAB casts such a big shadow that I feel like his team on this needs a huge shout out in terms of feedback.

Thank you so much for all your generosity, your talent, and your tremendous hard work. What a cool thing to share with all of us. I know I really enjoyed it. Pouring over these pages, all the details, and all the passion you all put into this reminds me why I love this community. We truly come together with a common love of all things tickly. Thanks for the wonderful gift.

As for CABby himself - thanks terribly for all the time you must have put into organizing, presenting, formatting, and working on this. It's a wonderful thing. Between your community involvement and your recent desire to include yourself in your own projects...I'm gonna have to start calling you Jim Junior soon. LMAO. Give you another ten or fifteen years of presenting work to this community and you'll have a bald head and a monocle. Biggest compliment I can offer you - after all Jim is my hero. My veritable man-crush for all he's done and continues to do. So I guess that means I got a lot of love for ya, CABers. Please keep doing what you do, and I'll keep nominating you for golden feathers for aaaallllllll time.

Absolutely awesome work - all those involved, and the trip down memory lane, i.e.; Marvel comics-style presentation was both hilarious and strangely arousing.
This appears to have been quite an undertaking, and for you all to contribute this to the community in this way is most generous.
Thanks again and again for everything you do. CAB, you continue to be an awe-inspiring contributor here. Wonderful.
 
My GOD...if comics were like this when I was a kid I am SURE I would have bought them and never left the house again. My hats (all of my hats) off to you, good sir, for your fiendish, fun nostalgic contributions.

C.A.B., I've been waiting for you to do this ever since you posted the very first cover in your Tales of the Desperate series. To say that you went above and beyond my wildest dreams would be an understatement. You have absolutely succeeded in capturing the very essence of those wonderful golden and silver age horror comics. While at the same time infusing the genre with our wonderful fetish.

One of my favorite things about this issue is how it truly feels like I am thumbing through one of those old tomes from yesteryear. The look and feel is spot on! The advertisements take it over the top. They are wonderfully nostalgic and hilarious... 132 ROMAN SLAVE GIRLS Only $1.98 (As a kid i so desperately wanted to order that soldier set you're spoofing. It really brings back some very fond memories.)

What an impressive line up of talented folks that you have brought together!

The dynamic duo of DOCTOR RANDOM and TEE HEE LAWRENCE (I've always loved his nom de plume!) kick off the issue with the perfectly titled Fine Feather END! A fine tale of ticklish revenge to be sure!

YURIHAUSEN and C.A.B. treat us to The Pit of Screams! Another fiendishly delightful trip down memory lane with the AURORA TICKLE MONSTER SCENES!

C.A.B. knocks it out of the park with the macabre Your Laughter is Di Vine! A perfect blend of the genre he is paying homage to and tickling!

FANTASY PLAY continues the horrific ticklish mayhem with CONTROL FREAK! A must see for all fans of F/M tickling!

SUIKODEN and C.A.B. wrap up this issue with Laugh For Mummy! The combination of great art and great fiction will always be a favorite for me. These guys deliver both!

What a stellar production! Many thanks to all involved in the project and special thanks to C.A.B. for all that he has done for this community!
