Dear friends,

It is with great sorrow that I must announce the passing of a beloved artist.

Corwin FT, died on Tuesday, July 10, 2007. His death was sudden and unexpected. Corwin is survived by his wife and three children.

I first learned of Corwin's passing this past Saturday. On Tuesday I spoke with his wife and she requested that I share the news of his death with the community he was so very fond of.

Working with Corwin was an honor and pleasure. He was a gifted artist with a passion for the genre. He poured all of his being into each of his creations and it showed. He generously shared much of his work with the community and his presence will be deeply missed by many.

On behalf of Corwin's family I invite you to respectfully leave your thoughts below.

I never really knew him, but nonetheless I want to express my deepest condolences to his family and friends. Know that he will be remembered here through his art.
 
You had a style all your own, and I thank you for sharing it with us. It seems like just a short time ago when first you shared your work with the community. Rest in peace. My condolences to his family.
 
I'm so sad to hear this, I've always liked his style. May you rest in peace, Corwin FT! Your work enriched many hearts.

I am deeply saddened to hear this unexpected news. My most sincere condolences to Corwin's family and friends in this trying time. A person's art, in whatever form they choose in life, is an expression of their soul. In that light, I have no doubt that both continue to shine brightly.

RIP Corwin FT

Corwin FT was a great artist and a great member of this community. He never had a bad word to say to anyone. Always sticking up for members that are being "flamed" in the forums.
I am honored to have chatted with him here as well to be a part of one of his creations.

Where ever my posts are, you will see one of his latest magnificent pieces of artwork as my sig picture.

My condolences go out to his family.

Corwin FT will be greatly missed.

This is very sad news, a great loss to the Community. It's a comfort that Corwin had enough real-world connections that we can learn about his passing and memorialize it (rather than having him just disappear from our boards and nobody know the reason why). Corwin had a sumptuous, polished art style and a knack for jolly Halloween themes that I've always found wonderful. I'm going to miss him very much, but his legacy won't be forgotten. My deepest regrets and comfort to his family, and my thanks to his wife for considering our feelings at this very difficult time.

I never knew the man, but I knew and admired his work very much. He had a unique style all his own. It is a sad loss to the community and even more so for his family. He will be missed by all who knew him or his work.

I was totally shocked to hear the news. Although I didn't know him well, we e-mailed back and forth for awhile. Not only was he a very talented artist, he was also a fine human being.

We'll miss him a lot.

That is truly awful. I never really knew him, but my thoughts and prayers are with his family.
 
I, too, never got to know the person behind the beautiful artwork, but I will miss his contributions, and I most certainly pass along my condolences and prayers to his loved ones left behind.

like many, i never met or spoke with Corwin, but his was a positive impact and influence on this forum and the community as a whole.

Corwin, your pencil and brushes will be missed, as will your personality and presence. may you rest in peace.

my hopes and prayers to Corwin's family. in this time of need, you do have friends ready to help.
 
Although i am new to the community, Corwn FT was one of my favorite artists. I really appreciated what he did and what you are doing for him and his family. Rest In Peace Corwin FT.🙁
 
My heartfelt condolences go out to Corwin's family. While this community has lost a great artist, his wife and children have lost so much more. My thoughts are with them.
 
I was also not familiar with this gentleman personally but I did get a very pleasant impression of him,
and I greatly enjoy his unique, vibrant, highly detailed artwork -- As I should've written earlier, it leaps off the page in multi-techno,
almost like psychedelic photographs, unusually beautiful & expressive stuff.

As someone commented, *very generously shared.
As someone else said, how exceptionally kind of this gentleman's wife to inform this community.
I hope she gets these messages in return.
May your memory be eternal. With many thanks and wishes for perfectly blessed peace to Corwin and family.

I have no words to say that have not yet been expressed. I found Corwin's work to be uniquely inspired and soulfully characterized.

I will miss his contributions and his presence here in the forum.
