A while back, a clip store/forum appeared called Heroine Universe. It was created by a guy who was one of the first producers to use a high quality, HD camcorder. He also took very high quality pictures of his girls tied and tickled.
He only seemed to use professional models namely, Tomika, Fayth, one of the girls guilttrip uses often, all quite ticklish, luckily.
His forum was mostly his clips and pictures, which he posted quite a few.
His prices were affordable, and his quality has yet to be matched yet, though Viper and TIW (in his old set) got pretty damn close.
And the best thing ever, he used pantyhose, flesh colored, in almost every single clip! He featured scenarios, story, and costumes. This was looking to be my favorite tickling site of all time, and an idea of how the other producers could do it, even if they don't feature professional models or super hero outfits.
....but then, he shut down. I never read the message he posted on his forum, but others said that he shut down because it was becoming too much for him, he didn't have time, and he had a copyright dispute with one of the models. I never found out which one.
This struck me as profoundly odd at the time. This obviously wasn't the whole story. I can understand not having time...but he produced so many clips and high quality pictures to start off with, how did he have time to do that? Even if he got busy, he had such a good camera, such a great camcorder, so many promising ideas, he could always find time later. I'll take spectacular quality footage, even if I have to wait several weeks for each clip! Hell, TIW sometimes goes a week without putting out a clip, guilttrip has gone two or three weeks...Viviana has gone three months without putting anything out!
He could have left the forum up, and just updated it whenever he felt like it, people would get used to it....it was free!
But the clipstore was what was really bugging me, because he closed that. What's so wonderful about capitalism on the artistic side, is that you can make money from work you produced decades ago. Even if he never made another clip, people could always buy the ones he did make, and he could rake in money years on down the road. I'm sure TickleHaven, Tickle Abuse, etc. get sales from thier early libraries of tickling clips by new customers.
When I heard copyright dispute, I was like, "What the hell?!" There have been, at this point, probably several hundred girls tickled on video, professional to amatuer, and I had never once heard about a copyright disputes. And if it only involved one model, why not toss out her clips, and leave all the others up? And again, how the hell do you have a copyright dispute with a model, when you're the director making a new clip....it still makes no sense to me. My thought at the time was, maybe a model threw some legal threats around, so she could take the clips, which were high quality, and make all the money from them herself....it was only a theory.
I also wondered, why, with such potential, the guy just say "Screw these professional models, I'll just use amatuer ones from now on!" I mean, using his camcorder and camera, and his directorial sense, he could make a hell of a better video if he called up some of the girls from the other producers, like Haley and Samantha from TIW company, or Glenora from Tickling Paradise, or Spring from Tickle Freaks, or any of Viper's girls, etc.......
Why has all this come up now? I was checking out clips-for-sale a little while back, and saw Tomika's site. Her clips were always low quality, grainy, obviously not HD, but what the hell, she was ticklish.
Well, low and behold, I see clips on sale from Heroine Universe!
So, what's going on? Was she the one who started the dispute? Was it another model? I want to know because, if there was some bullying of a new producer going on, I'll boycott that models clips forever.
Can anyone fill us in?
