Petition to get the search function back

This is ridiculous, most of my daily browsing is done with the search engine. I understand the need to cut costs, but the undersigned feel that the search function is necessary and that something else should be cut. -

Sincerity

The search function WILL be returning when we find a more suitable long term solution to the size issue. When the forum crashed due to overloading our space allocation, the search function was one of the only functions readily available that could be turned off and that would immediately being our size issue down to manageable proportions. Jeff is working on gaining more space for the forum along with other long term solutions, and once those issues are worked out, the search function will be turned back on. It has not been permanently disabled.

I agree with Tron, but thanks to mods for working so hard

Not having the search function is a slight annoyance, but Iam getting used to it. The main thing we have to be thankful for is that the whole forum hasnt crashed again. When such happens, we are totally disabled from using the forum, and Myriads, Jeff, and the other mods need to spend their time putting it up again, which is a big pain for them, and loses forum time for us.
In my two years here, I have always known the staff here to be trustworthy of their intent. Myriads has told me the search function will be returned, and Mimi just posted that it will be too. We just have to bear with them until the issue is ironed out. Until then, let's just be thankful that we have the forum in tact in the first place.
