Happy St. Patrick's Day to you. 🙂 Heres an update which was coincidentally ready for this holiday. Here's Motoko Aoyama, from Love Hina. I drew her as my entry in a chibi contest.

This is my first chibi picture ever, as well, so it was really fun. ^___^

Thanks, I really had fun with it. It definitely helped that Motoko is my favorite character. I just thought she would look so cute and adorable in her training kimono that theres no way I could pass this up.

Maybe I'll even win this contest with this entry. Whether I do or not I'm glad I finally go to draw a chibi.

Also, I colored her with prismacolor markers, FYI. 🙂

Prismacolor markers give me the freedom that digital mediums cannot. I prefer to work my hands, it feels more natural and real and less artificial that way.

Though the two do work well together, in tandem, and they each have their uses.

I want to draw the rest of the characters this way as well. The series never gets old for me, and this another interesting way to draw them. Its easier and faster too.

You should try drawing a chibi.

@ rajee- I'm not sure what you're refering to. Are you talking about the parody I made or events from the actual series?

@ Morden- Thank you. 🙂 As I said, its my first ever chibi version of any character, original or otherwise, so I'm quite happy with it.

Since Witch Hunter Robin was brought up, it would be super cute to draw her chibified.

Nevermind rajee, I must have read your response wrong the first time. No, there is no tickling or anything like that in the series. Its not that it was wishful thinking though, I just thought it was a good setup and scenario. It doesn't work with all or series,but it seemed to work within the confines of the series theme and the lengths the Hunters will go to in order to bring a witch to justice. So I just sort of played off of that.

CE, I watched 3 episodes of the 1st season on Pay-per-view. You did a very good job drawing her, btw. I was just wondering if there was any bare foot scenes or tickling scenes in the rest of the 1st season or other seasons.

I didn't know there was a second season. When it comes out on dvd in a boxset I'm definitely buying it. But for now, because I do not currently have cable anymore, I don't have access to adult swim, so I can't watch anime that way.

As for the first season, yes, there are several barefoot/sole scenes of Robin, and I'm sure there are screen captures of video clips of them more popular ones. There is no tickling though.

It was really just a short parody, it couldn't have been that good. It was only what...4 pictures? Yeah, 4. And it really just represents one parody scene. I usually refer to anything foot fetish or tickling related that I do as a parody, since obviously it wouldn't have happened in the series under normal circumstances. Its alot like doujinshi, in that its fanciful but accurate to a degree and dispite artistic liberties is basically in keeping with the theme of the series.
