Pre-Net Horde: The Toons

Still excavating and evaluating the veritable Horde of pre-internet gems I've...Well, Horded over the years. This series of posts deals with the toons. By my count there will be 49, so this will take some time. Please be patient! The majority of this material was obtained from Tobias Hackner between the years of 1984-89 at obscene prices. Yeah, he was a thug, but we were willing to pay.

Most of the material by BAC, CB, Smith and Mandell from that epoch has been posted and reposted, colored and collaged time after time, so I won't bother scanning those I have yet know have already been seen. That leaves very few. The bulk of this series of posts will be of work from lesser-known but just as imaginative and energetic vintage toonists who I wish would get ahold of today's computer graphics and really blow our eyeballs out.



Let's get the Old Masters out of the way first. I could be mistaken, but I don't recall seeing these from BAC on the 'net.

I scanned and colored (I know, shitty) this story by Smith some 3 years ago, but couldn't remember if I posted it. I believe this pre-dates both the "Bonita" story and the "Ratt & Roy" series. If anyone preferrs the B&W version let me know, I'll post it as well.
 
The final page to above story, and Saudelli's Mister Mastermind from Leg Show. This I confess is NOT precisely "Pre-Net;" it came out just as I was getting on the net in '99. I scanned and posted it in the original Tickling Toons Yahoo group, and I have seen it reposted, but it's so darn great!
 
Seems no one remembers "Big Mack," yet these works of his are dated 1978...That pre-dates any known work by BAC, Smith or Mandell! My investigations did not reveal the precise dates Saudelli or CB began producing.
 
Two more by "Big Mack," and three also by an artist whose sig I never could make out. This toonist has had several of his/her works on the 'net over the years, and as he/she was highly prolific, I have several more. These 3 are among the select.
 
Of late I've heard requests for a toonist who went by the moniker "Frank Boyer." Tho I have dozens by this one-man toon factory, some of his top works and requests are posted here. You're Old School, Frank!
 
One final Boyer and some unidentifiables. If anyone can assign credit please do.
 
The final guest artist in this series of posts went by the handle "Lauren," who was very active for a very short period of time.

This concludes tonight's seminar on the Way We Were. I truly hope most of these toons are new to you, or at least haven't been seen in some time. If any other petrified toons surface, I'll be sure to post them. And please, if some of you other Old Heads possess some obscure antiqueties put' em up!

A remarkable collection. Ive never seen the laurens or the Big Macs... Incredible view into the lives and fantasies of pre-tickle-scene fantasists and what they did in the absence of any specialized erotica. If you have any other stuff like that, please please please post it.

And where did you find them? Are these your work? or did you get them mail order? Please tell. The leather Archives and museum is dedicated to the historical documentation of sexual kink and as a supporter of their mission. I would love to know where kink art like this from the seventies (LOVE those huge afros) has been hiding all these thirty years.

Imagine my surprise to see 4 of my drawings among your collection! I didn’t even think anyone had them anymore. They’re not quite from the 70’s though. They were done in the late 80s I think. I used to correspond with people through the mail back then and tried my hand at a couple of tickle drawings. I may even still have the originals somewhere.

My drawings are the second set of Lauren drawings: The girl strapped to the post being tickled by the mistress, the inversion bar; the one with the spreader bar; and the one with the woman on the table in the stocks in a jail cell.

I don’t claim any of the others, which you credit as being “Lauren” drawings. Unless there was another Lauren out there at the same time, those others are not mine. You can see that the style is completely different. The other drawings have style, and mine don’t. LOL

Anyway, I’ll see if I can find my originals and I’ll post cleaner pics of them if I can figure out how to post images on here.

most of them (In fact, I had seen only one) are new to me
It can be said that actual work is more impressive, but as historical, original vintage work this is priceless.
It could be like discovering unheard-of rare demo recordings of Black Sabbath from the early '70's, thanks for taking the time to upload, try to expalin them ,sharing, I am already looking forward for the next lesson!!

I am VERY pleased to make your aquaintance, Ma'am! Even tho we never met back then, you and I sure chewed some of the same dirt! (Sorry, old Marine Corps slang. It dies slow.) I stand corrected on the issue of the "Lauren" toons, and I thank you kindly for clearing that up. Actually, I prefer your works over the mistaken ones...It DOES have a unique style, and bespeaks of some serious knowledge of bondage and reactions to tickle-torture. Gee, I wonder where you aquired that talent? :xpulcy:

The mistaken toons were from the story, "Tickle-Torturers of Highland High," and I could swear "Lauren" got the credit for that story. Of course, after I scanned the toons I stashed the Horde back in it's deep, dank dungeon in the back shed...You think I'm gonna venture out in that cold wind tonight to retrieve it? Go fish. But I will post the story and a couple of others from the Day when I round up the Story Files from the Horde.

At any rate, EroticTicklee, you should really consider picking up the Artist's utensils once again, I mean it. Your fans are calling!

Some awesome old school toons there, and most of them I have never seen before! I may have been in this racket for 5 years, but it looks like I'm still a relative newbie when it comes to these things!

Question for Rex....

At the risk of prying how much did tobias hackner charge. The historian in me wants to know. And personally I am very gratefull you did shell out whatever you did. Its you and not T. Hackner who are sharing them with the community today. What do you know of Hackner BTW. I remember seeing his ads, but never had the guts to drop him a line.

Let it not be said that the old fossil doesn't aim to please! Here's the first 3 pages of the infamous price list. Keep in mind that these were the EIGHTIES, so these prices would probably be tripled by now, at least. And before anyone begins squawking, after months of begging/pleading/pestering/badmouthing, Tobias Hackner finally sent me a clearer copy of the toon on the 1st page, along with a short text. He said he got it from some magazine years earlier.

Oh, and Eroticklee, That story, and the toons, are actually credited to a "Jason Richardson." So he's the one who draws cute Asian gals. :redheart:
You, however, were credited for "Laughing Stocks!" VERY good story!
