There was a very interesting site at http://www.ticklepalace.com It had some videos for sale, and I sent them the cash for one of them. Now the site seems to be gone, and I haven't heard anything about either the video or my money. Does anyone know what happened to Tickle Palace?

I believe TicklePalace was Kujman's site. It is unfortunate that you sent cash. One of Kuj's supporters recently posted an address that people could mail to get refunds, but I have yet to see one post concerning a successful refund.
For the record, I've never sent Kuj money, nor have I been ripped off by him. Unfortunately there are many others who can't say the same.
 
Wallstreet is correct. It is Kurt's site. I'm getting a time-out on it when I try to pull it up. But, I believe it's still there. AFA sending money for tapes, I seem to recall a notice in his video section alerting people to the fact that he will not be sending any tapes out until he has a certain amount of orders. That may or may not be the reason for the hold up. If you'd like to contact him and ask him yourself, his e-mail addy is [email protected]. He'll be able to answer your questions better than any of us.

Saw several threads on AMT where the site was reported by TickleGal as having been "hacked", and thus is offline.

Saw a bunch of other threads where Kujman is deriding everyone that complains about the fact that they're not sending out tapes until they get a certain number of purchasers. You can look it up on any site that archives USENET. I believe the statements by he and TickleGal were that a) they got advice from a lawyer friend to hold out for a minimum number of initial purchases, as they'd face copy and illegal distribution of the tapes. Glad that the other vendors don't have such a notion.

Kujman's gone off on a bunch of AMT, with some harsh commentary. Dunno what's gonna happen now, 'cause that's not gonna help sell tapes. Refunds are being discussed by many, though, and that's gonna further remove the likelyhood of said video ever releasing. Sad, really. Even if he and I don't get along, it's still disappointing to see a video vendor kill their own business.

Can you imagine MTP or TC holding all distribution, AFTER charging the credit cards months before, until they got what they perceived as an appropriate number?

Perplexing.

Although the site is down for now, the tapes are being sent out by the end of the month. I also know one refund was sent out today.
If you didn't order a tape yet, and are still curious, I can say that the tapes are incredible in both creativity and the all out laughter that you hear throughout. ::winking:: Watch them and see for yourself ! Send him an email directly to [email protected]. Its the easiest way to get one now .

About the Tickle Palace .... KJ and Toni have found a new server and plan on putting the site back up as soon as he gets the time to recreate and redo many parts of it. Its alot of work but as I always say, "have patience , please!"

Whether you like him or not, you will see the creativity he possesses in bringing you what you ask for. Tickling entertainment and excitement, to boot. 😱

I must agree with SuperT. I took Elaah's post as a direct solicitation to buy these tapes. She should not do this unless she is willing to take responsibility for missing money. How can contacting Kuj get you one now, while others have been waiting for months?
If Kuj's problem was as simple as a crashed web site, then why did he not come here to explain this himself?
I find it unethical to demand cash when you can't even provide a product. Obviously these people are out money.
As I said in my earlier post, I have never been ripped of by Kuj. Why? Because I've never been ignorant enough to mail cash.
You don't need a web site to refund money.
I know the Mods have done everything within their power by stripping Kuj of his Mod status. I also know that the TMF Mods are not the police and do not take responsibility for the actions of others. But what of the more recent members who could read this thread and send more cash?

I just do not understand why anyone is taken in by this guy, there is nothing on his site and there never has been anything on his site, it takes for ever to down load and when you finally get there its about as rewarding as sitting in an empty bath with your socks on. He is also rude, arrogant and devoid of any sense of humour. Can you believe that??!! no sense of humour? very odd given the subject matter round here.

Kuj is not a mod. Therefore Kuj cannot remove anything. He has not been a mod since the summer of '01.

The post was not removed by a TMF mod, as no copies of it were placed in our evaluation area. So there is only one person who could have taken it down. Supertickler. Users can delete thier own posts with the expection of when those posts start a thread. I assume he had his own reasons for removing it.

And once more, we all have had the joy of beating a dead horse.

sigh... I need not go there , right? I was just answering the question posed by Redmage at the beginning of the thread so that he himself could make his own decision. Did you ever tell someone to go see a great movie and it sucked? I was kind of going along those lines.... I saw a video and liked it. You decide or NOT. If you can't stand the laughter and begging of women being tickled, then please don't buy it!

My guess here is that since the tapes are now being shipped soon, that the wait will not be as long as it has been.... actually it is more than a guess... its the truth.

OK one more thing... I do not speak for KJ, I just thought I could prevent this from becoming a thread like others I have seen recently on other newsgroups and keep the TMF free from all this "stuff" .

Elaah-- No offense intended towards you, and I again re-iterate that I'm NOT missing money. Kuj is lucky to have you come in and stand up for him. I'm just confused as to why such an outspoken person wouldn't come here to defend himself. As Myraids pointed out, this horse is beaten to the point of glue.
I just think that until Kuj's rep is restored he shouldn't be soliciting any further offers.
I myself have accumulated a nice collection of Wall$treet made videos, yet I don't sell them. Why? Because I don't have the means for people to buy them with securely credit cards on line. I have too much respect for the people on this forum to have them blindly mail money.
As long as there is a possibility of the people of this forum getting ripped off I will speak my mind. I don't care if the horse is beaten to super glue.

Thanks for your concern. I actually deleted the post myself just a couple of minutes after posting it (I do that sometimes). I figured, why put myself through the hassle of making a fairly intuitive comment when I could be certain that someone would find a reason to disagree with me? You must be one of the very few who read it during the small window in time that it was up.

For those who are curious (and to help make sense of WS's subsequent post), it basically said that I'll pass on sending Kujman money, after having read all the complaints that various people have posted reporting that they felt they were stiffed.

Ironically, I had posted, some time ago, a request that Kujman make his tapes easier to order, by advertising them on an easy-to-find page where you wouldn't have to endure the slow loads of every page on his site. He basically ripped me a new one and summarily deleted my post (he was still a mod at the time). In retrospect, I'm glad he didn't make it easy for me to send him my money. 😎

Red, just read your comment. Very amusing! I couldn't have put it better myself! I really don't understand the rationale behind that site. The so-called "creativity" is just not apparent. If I want camels, deserts and Arab sheikhs, I'll watch "Lawrence Of Arabia." It's 500 times as creative and, at about 3 hours, takes less time to watch than it takes to download one page of Tickle Palace. 😎
 
Let's be real about this...

Check usenet and you will see promises of material being released by KJ, etc. for over 5 YEARS! Does anybody think this is gonna happen???.

I do not think that this person will steal people's money (pretty easy to trace the guilty party), but it is unlikely that material will be released after all this time. Eventually the money will be returned, and the charade will finally end.

The web site was a smoke screen for 2+ years of stalling (updated around 5 times over the years). Why go to all this trouble??? I don't know.
 
He said as well as others that he would be sending the tapes out by the end of the month, no later than march 1-2002, if anyone get one please post! I for one would love to see if anyone ever gets what they paid for!!!

I got a tape to preview

--and was asked for any input. so all your negative comments notwithstanding here, kj and ticklgal do follow through. I know three others who were asked to preview it too. all I ever see here are flames from nobodys about whats probably the most creative site and creative team ever to hit tickling. you people should get your facts straight and your heads screwed on right.

also the palace was back up and running yesterday when i checked with a written update about tapes and all

well pal everyone is someone...there are no nobody's here.....you have sort of a conceited view for someone with 2 posts... its great that they did fair by you...however i'm sure that all the people that hav'nt got word yet are slightly concerned about their investment..i for one would never send money to someone that had no intention of mailing the product i purchased asap. but i do realize that it was clearly stated that a certain # of vids had to be ordered before they would be sent...and eventually they may get it all settled in thier own time frame...even so you would think that someone would take better care to inform people of where they stand..its pretty poor customer service. as for the site being creative ..yeah it was....i say was because i still can't get it to come up yet. so a site can be the most creative in the world but if its unaccessable than its really no use. if you create a site that gives that many problems and is that hard for some people and systems to navigate then i'm thinking it was'nt that good of an idea after all...but thats just me. Have a great day.
 
I still have not gotten my tape, even though he and his friends have said they were going out in the mail! I have sent him an email asking to get my money back, since i cant get the tape i paid for! I just wonder how long will i have to wait untill i get my money back?I Bet i should not hold my breath on this matter!!!
If anyone gets there tape or money back please post!!!
