Is is OK to tickle someone in public?

A couple of weeks ago, I was with a big group of friends (male and female) at a water park and on a slow tube ride, two of my girl friends who are very beautiful (one of them I like much more than a friend actually but she has a boyfriend) were laying on their backs and sticking their feet up. I wanted to tickle them for a little bit and see if their ticklish but it was too open and I was too hesistant to do anything. Plus, they were in bikinis the entire time so I wanted tickle their stomachs. Should I have tickled them anyway?

In the circumstances described, sure, why not? It's an informal occasion and you're all friends.

By all means tickle them. A waterpark is great place for tickling in public.

In an amusement park is surely an appropriate place to give a friendly tickle to a friend.

Inappropriate places would be in school during class, in church, in a library, in a movie during the film--anywhere that people have an expectation that you should keep quiet.

I must agree that in that situation it would have been ok and understood.

This does bring to mind something else though: Whenever I get the chance I tickle my wife in public (or goad her into tickling me) just to see if anyone stares! lol! Plus we have a femal friend that I tickle everytime we are out together for the same reason.

I often wonder if anyone else here does the same thing. I like to think I'm giving a fellow phile a good show and maybe they will return the favor some day!

just like real estate. most places are fair game. ones that are not are the opera, concert, movie threater, you get the idea.
at the water park, with girls that are already known to you (what took you so long?) hell yeah, go for it, lol

Too open? Dude, lighten up, it's just tickling. The girls probably would've liked it, you definitely would've loved it. So what's the problem? The only reason not to tickle the one girl with the boyfriend is if her BF was there, and he's the insanely psycho jealous type. Other than that, it sounded like an ideal opportunity

I really think it depends on the girl. I used to have no problem tickling a friend in public, but one day I was at the park with a friend of mine, beautiful young lady might I add, and this guy was flirting with her, mainly by tickling her. Now, she doesn't like this guy and it's possible she just didn't want to flirt with him, but she asked me to tell him to leave her alone. He just wasn't listening to her. After that day, I always thought twice about tickling a girl in public, however, I usually will the first time and judge each situation accordingly after that.

Have to agree, friendly tickling in public isn't wrong. Take care not to exagerrate, though. One example of just that comes to my mind. It was in the underground cart. Rush hours, so it was pretty crowded. There was a couple in their middle twenties nearby and the girl was very pretty. Tall blonde, with great body, wearing tight trousers and sleeveless blouse. I noticed them because I heard her cute laughter. They were about a meter from me, facing each other, so I could clearly see why she was laughing. Her b/f was tickling her ribs and stomach. At first it was playful tickling, but soon it turned to something more heavy and erotic. She was laughing pretty hard then and started to be embarassed, because the whole crowd were staring at them. Besides, he even tickled the sides of her breasts from time to time. She tried to stop him, but couldn't because he was bigger and stronger and because it was too crowded for her to fight. Then she tried to talk him into stopping, telling him it was too public and that his touches are too private in this situationand she was ashamed. He refused to acknowledge. The temptation was too strong for me to avert my eyes, but the situation started to be a bit unpleasant. The girl wasn't enjoying it anymore and obviously felt humilated in front of several dozens people. Finally, the message got through "Don't tickle me HERE!|" she yelled. He anwered "OK, I won't tickle you here." and stopped. It was obvious he will begin again as soon as they come from HERE to THERE. THERE was my station. They emerged in front of me. It seemed like kiss and make up, but I remembered his stressed "HERE" and saw a glitter in his eyes. His arm came around her waist and as soon as they left the station he attacked her ribs. She squatted right theree and howled with laughter. I heard "Don't you understand, I can't take it anymore!". Then she became angry with him, sat on the ground and refused to go till he promised to stop. I had to go, because I couldn't stand and stare so I haven't seen the end of the situation. Of course it was arousing for me but at one point he definitely crossed the line tickling her in so crowded place and refusing to see her humilation.

I don't see anything wrong with te idea. If you were all friends and it was only playful, why not?

I had briefly made friends with a Spanish couple at a waterpark on my holiday in Spain. We were holding hands and flying down the water flumes in a three person chain. At one point I even grabbed her ankle instead of her arms and tickled the sole of her foot briefly as we went down. She shrieked and jerked her leg away with a grin. Her BF even thought it was funny. If an ugly, uncharismatic git like me could do it half an hour after meeting some people he could'nt even understand the language of, then you could've done it with friends you'd know for ages.

Sometimes it might be harder to do it with people you have known for a very long time. If you do it to someone you have only known for a little while who cares if they think you are jerk. You may never see them again anyway. With a friend it is different. They might give you this look of What the hell are you doing. That is the risk of tickling a friend.

Hell, most of the tickling I've done has been in public! I think the people and the context is what dictates appropriateness. Sometimes you just have to trust your gut and go for it.

Heh, I just remembered, some of the girls were trying to get one of the guys to laugh so they kept trying to coax him into laughing. He wouldn't do it, so the girl who I like grabbed him and tryed to tickle him. He kept pushing her away and said that he wasn't ticklish. It was pretty funny. Of course, now that I do remember, I feel even more regretful that I didn't grab and tickle her. I probably didn't because I thought of tickling of something more sexual than playful, but now it's both to me.

I regularly give my friends playful tickles in public - normally in the pub or park etc. Some people stare, others laugh, others suggest she should get me bcak sometime, others assume we must be gay (we're not), but yeah, if you are both comfortable with it and the time is right , then I'd say - go for it.
