Of the four remaining teams in the Super Bowl hunt, New England was the one team which nobody on this forum gave a chance. They are now the first to find a spot in the Super Bowl. Certainly, it was a year of parity in the NFL, so I suppose it stands to reason. No AFC playoff team really entered the playoffs as the dominant team, and all had a shot at a trip to the Super Bowl. New England and Pittsburgh earned a bye and had to play one less game than the others. You really have to tip your hat to Drew Bledsoe, for he played a heck of a game. He had to come in after having not taken a snap in a game since the beginning of the season; he also never complained about being a back-up. When he entered the game he looked like he had played the entire season. The way New England's defense and special teams played, I definitely would not count them out in the Super Bowl.

i grew up in pennsylvania..i'm a steelers fan. so all i have to say is....crap, crap, crap. yet my hats of to new england...heres to hoping they make it interesting before the rams stomp them. 😀

I was at the Steeler/Patriot game.My view of it was that the Steeler defense was heavily challenged, but still held the Patriots to 10 points. The offense scored 17,but not only resorted to their old habit of using no imagination or even basic strategy, but was faced by a Patriot defense who came to play. The biggest problem was the Steeler special teams, who have hurt the Steelers all year long, and yesterday finally killed them.To their credit, the Patriots came to win and took the opportunities available to do so.This is a trait the best teams in the league have.
As much as the typically garbage officiating was up to thier usual level of operation,at least they didn't decide the game. The Steeler mistakes and the Patriots' abilities to take advantage of them did. That's all a part of winning.
Now do us a favor and beat the Rams? They win one super bowl, fail to get there the next year, and they are suddenly the newest dynasty.I'm personally sick of hearing about them lol.

I gave them a chance!

unfortunately...lol

NE was the team I didn;t want to face cause a quarterback like Brady that runs around and mkaes stuff happen gives the Steelers headaches...throw in Kordell not having aperfect game (which he has to do..no mistakes) and the Patriots earned that win.

I just hope they make a game of it the Super Bowl!

i never would`ve thought the patriots would make it.i hope they beat the rams...or at least make it interesting.i haven`t watched sportscenter in a few days so i`m not sure who is starting at qb for the pats.but who would you put in,the 100 million dollar man,or a man named brady?

Im Tellin Ya

Without Kurt Warner The Rams Are Nothing.....If They Can Keep His Arm Under Control, The Patriots Got It Won.....GO PATRIOTS!! 😎

New England is IN....by miracles going there way...

Sorry, but I wanted the Raiders and Steelers to win both games😛 😛 😛

stranger things have happened

I think the Patriots have a legitimate shot in the Super Bowl. Hopefully, they can limit the Rams' big plays on offense by keeping things in front of them and play the physical brand of defense for which they are known. Belichick will probably come up with some clever defensive schemes, and if they can force some turnovers, all bets are off. The Rams new and improved defense poses more of a problem then it did in the past, but I feel like the Patriots should be able to run the ball against them.

Go Patriots 😀 !

After my last post in this thread, I thought perhaps I was a little too bold in my thoughts about the Patriot's chances. Afterall, how often do we see upsets in the SuperBowl? The Patriots were true underdogs, and they really took it to the Rams. This has to be the biggest upset since Namath and the Jets won Superbowl III. It was absolutely awesome!!!
