losers

I once took part in a 4 vs 4 "battle of the sexes" wrestling match. We had all agreed that it was submission only, all 4 of the respective team members had to submit in order for there to be a winner. Lastly; (and this is why we lost), we agreed to "anything goes" rules. Word to the wise...

Where I live a group of people recently won 14 million dollars in a lottery. Trouble is, 9 people won but three people who usually play didn't get in the pot. So I ask you, are they entitled to a share of the winning? Your thoughts on this.
