I am kind of surprised no one posted about it.

So far, I have heard (but not sure if it's true) the child was launched out of the water raft as the three riders did not meet the required minimum weight to prevent the raft from going airborne. Also, the restraints weren't very secure as it was simply two velcro straps, one across the lap and one over the shoulder like a car's seat belt. He allegedly hit the net enclosing the slide, and the metal structure that supported the net decapitated him. His severed head then hit both of the women behind him, causing minor injuries. His body then slid down the slide, coming to rest in the landing pool.
Contrary to what CNN states, it is a brother, not a friend, that witnessed the tragedy. I cannot imagine what he, and the women he was riding with, are going through at having to be witness to this.
