First two pix are of a 1/35 Sherman II in British service for the battle of El Alemein. The second model is a 1/48 Sturmgeschutz III on the Russian front.14st2.JPG14st1.JPGFEA4.JPGFEA1.JPG

1/48 Jagdpanther from the anime series Girls und Panzer.

1/72 mecha called Psycho Chan. That one is Vorpal Bunny approved. 😀pcd7.JPGpcd6.JPG14jp2.JPG14jp1.JPG

Wonderful models. :bouncybou That Jagdpanther is an amazing machine. :yowzer:

Fantastic models my friend. :yowzer: :bounce: :happyhop: Everything looks so amazing. Excellent work. Thanks :ty: for sharing the pics. 🙂

Incredible, you can start work on my unpainted wargame lead at any time!

Nice models General! How much time goes into putting some of these models together?

General you might just kick-start the old hobby of model building (it was big back in my day)!

Great models. I like to look at scale models, there is a big model scene on the show circuit for vintage steam engines and cars etc - some very skilled people have constructed vast models of circuses, fairgrounds, road scenes etc - some from scratch, others by integrating pre-produced models, some take models apart and rebuild with parts from other models to create something new. I don't really have the patience myself, but I wish I did!

here is an example - I don't know the builder, but the photo was taken by flickr member YorkyJan.

Excellent detailing, Gen. Zod. I have tried to imagine what it would have been like serving in a tank, like a T-34 at Kursk & at -45°. You would have to be a real hard-ass.

Thanks Bizkit. Well,I only built four models in 2014. My average would have been one every three months. 🙁 I used to get six to eight done in a year.

It is still big today. More so with adults. It is not a cheap hobby anymore. :sigh:

Thanks kindly. Especially for the pic. Model Railroading can be a full time hobby. Ever been to any scale modelin shows?

Thanks. 🙂 Kursk. One hell of a battle.

Not any shows that are specific to scale modelling - only 'splinter' shows that help to form part of a much larger show of related interests - these usually are more of a display rather than a practical show - I imagine the specific shows are more interactive with demonstrations and participation activities?

I wasn't sure how big the hobby was anymore; I have seen some magazines dealing with it, but they're hard to find. And, I know it's expensive - I've seen the prices of some of the kits nowdays, and I've quickly put them back. Partly due to the price of oil now as opposed to way back (the '60's & 70's). It was fun tho.

Over here, there is the IPMS,which is all types of scale models. It is a contest. There is the yearly national show, then there is smaller contests/shows at the different chapters in different series. They also have different classes/lectures on tips for models and painting. Then there is the vendors area. They sell all sorst of models.

That is why E Bay is my friend. I have seen some real good deals there. Too many. 😱 If I am looking for a particular model, and I do not like the price,I usually wait and see if I can get a better deal.

Have you thought of making models of some of the "Capital Ships" from Star Wars Zod?
