one else did:

In looking at these events...why do we tolerate behavior that is the OPPOSITE of these?

You know: Pakistani husband throws acid in wife's face....she later commits suicide...he doesn't even care.
Anything that is happening in Afghanistan, Syria, Liberia, Somalia, Egypt (And their fantastic treatment of women!) and on and on....
...I could go on for decades...

Nice link. It's nice to know that there are still some good people out in this world even though everyday the world we live in keeps getting sicker and sicker. I would like to say and think that there are more good people out there than bad. But by doing so, I think I would only be deluding myself.

I don't know. That is something that I have often wondered myself. We shouldn't, but you are right. We do.

I don't mean to sound like an prick about this, but what did you expect? Mabus, the man threw battery acid in his wife's face, which left her permanently deformed and most likely leaving her damaged psychologically as well. Someone who is capable of doing something like that isn't going to give a shit how it affects that person, nor is it going to phase them the slightest should that person whose life they ruined decides to kill themselves. Because if they even cared to begin with, they wouldn't have done it in the first place.

That's just like these kids who decide to kill themselves because they are bullied in school. Do you really believe those kids are really sorry for what they did and how it affected that person, and that their relatives (and friends if they happened to have any) will be torn up over this for the rest of their lives? No. Of course you'll hear them say We're sorry, We are shocked and devastated over this, We were just playing and trying to have a little fun with them. We had no idea they would take it/affect them this way. They only say those things in an attempt to clear their name. They are not sincere. If they were, they wouldn't keep doing it to others and more people would see what's going on, they too would also get the message and it would stop.
