This is the only forum I know of where this is exceptable. Most forums really hate post count status and I recently read that keeping a post count tends to wreck forums but, if no one else has a problem with it than neither do I...

EDIT: Just my 3 cents...not that it has any value here...

I am again happy for Acorna...and it is not a boasting thing of counts, TK...it is somewhat of an accomplishment, 500 posts, means Acorna has been around, and has quite a few things to say, I personally, am glad to see she has it the big 5...and would encourage others to claim when they have hit any number that they are proud of...Acorna, c'mon buddy..lemme' see 1,000

Well there is no real benefit to having high post counts here. I know at the TMF they give away awards for big posters but here you're only risking being caalled a blabber mouth (so sayeth the highest poster here). I'm rather shocked that Acorna has been here so long and is so well known and liked in the space of only 500 posts. That tells me she goes for quality over quantity which is a good thing. 🙂

Well, the TMF is somewhat skewed in terms of post count, since most posts there now seem to come from the Humor Forum (Where most of HDS' nearly 16,000 came from). Most forums, with the notable exception of Gaia Online (Where averages of nearly 200 a day are common) don't have forums devoted to what might be called 'spam,' which the TMF's Humor Forum is precariously close to being labeled as.

I like to think I've had a mix of quality and quantity. 😛 Certainly I have posted many useless things just telling someone I thought what they said was funny. 😛 I don't consider high post count to be too much of a status symbol though. It's pretty impossible to have THIS many posts in a year and have every single one of them be deeply profound and meaningful. 😛 Acorna, unlike me, usually only speaks when she's got something to say. 😀
