Sounds kinda like the question I asked myself a while back when I realized just how much I had in my own collection. My decision? Share what I was free to share with the community. (See here for details of how I did it.) Just a suggestion. I'm sure there will be many more. 😉
Yeah, burn them, upload them, I've thought about taking mine and editing them, removing everything except what I wanted out of them (I'm more a foot tickler kind of guy). But I've got too many to go through that.
had the same problem 2 months ago, had a new computer and 2 gb of clips I didn't want to lose, yet I had no properly working cd-writer and thus all was lost 🙁
I had maybe 5 gigs of various fetish clips on my 120 gig hard drive. Then the drive suffered some kind of short or electrostatic shock of some kind and I lost everything. I had 55 gigs of MST3K, 5 gigs of feet, tickling, bondage, etc. video cilps, 17 gigs of mp3's, about 15 gigs of other TV show episodes... and it's all totally inaccessible. It's so frustrating because it's all right there on the drive but there's no way of getting to it. So now I have to either see if I can get the drive fixed, or wait until i have a few hundred bucks to blow on data recovery. Bleh.
Hey, if anyone feels like contributing to the "120-gig Data Recovery Fund", visit my website HERE for ways to contact me. It'd be really appreciated.
if your 120gig hard disk is dead due to electrical failure and not mechanical (so no funny noises from the drive), then simply buy a new drive that is the EXACT model of the one you have and swap the circuit boards over. Your old drive should work and you can send the broken one back to the manufacturer for a replacement.
Hrmmm, good idea. Thanks. I'll have to give that a shot. I was thinking something like that might work... or that I might be able to send it in to have the board replaced or something... but I wasn't really sure. If I do that, the circuitboard won't freak out and start randomly writing data to the drive or anything, will it?
I've done it before myself earlier this year. It works fine as long as you get the exact same model (and of course if the drive isn't mechanially damamged)
Eh, I have to say I kinda agree. You really should ditch all the images. I mean, it's fine once or twice every so often, but for every single message it just gets incredibly annoying and all it does is take up space and jumble up the "flow" of the page. There should be a forum admin setting that limits signatures to the first post per topic or per page.
