yes folks even at my age..i'm a babe in the woods as far as the internet goes..i realize a public forum is just that..a public forum..however i truly didn't realize that a comment posted on one forum or blog could be copied by someone else and posted elsewhere..even if the originator of that comment hasn't a clue..

i guess posts and comments should come copywritten..sighs..

Yep. A public forum is just that -- public. Once something is out on any part of the net, it's liable to be on every part of the net.

And copyrights are hardly a check on anything being spread. Just ask MGM or Sony or 20th Century Fox about how well copyrighted material is protected!

Gossips have always been with us. The net let's 'em gossip farther and faster.

I disagree 200%. Comments posted on a public forum should NOT be copyrighted. For God's sake, can't anybody believe in true Liberty anymore?

I think of chat forums like this one in the same light as a radio call-in show. Anyone can crank up their favorite recording appliance and record what I or anyone says.
