A Boom in Popularity?

No doubt anyone who has been following the progress of this fetish online has noticed just how much its popularity has increased since the days of old tripod tickle sites and scattered yahoo groups. "Tickling" is now a common search on pretty much any search engine, and any youtube clip with tickling as a tag is guaranteed tons of views.

More striking to me though, is how common it is offline now. At my college, there are tons of girls into bondage, and once I've tickled them during the act, it becomes an essential part of any sexual encounter. And, for the first time in a while, I've realized just how many other guys seem to be doing similar things: tickling girls whenever the opportunity arises.

So, given that I'm only one member here, I'd like to hear what you all think. Am I totally wrong? Is tickling still too freaky and weird for non-fetishists? Or are there deeper factors involved?

With youtube it's grown mainly because some people 1) put up the full length vids from tickle companies and 2) (because SOME people like underage material) of the GIRLS (not women) that have started taking tickle dares and 3) The occasional "OMG I've been looking for that scene FOREVER" vid get's put up.

For online in general no doubt has the popularity increased, it's obvious. I started searching back in the day before a search engine would produce hardly any results that a ler or lee would seek. But now there's plenty of results that pop up. So yeah, popularity is up online.

As for offline, I don't neccesarily think tickling is neccesarilly on the rise however perhaps more of an understanding. That's just how I view it though.

There does seem to be an upswing in terms of online popularity, which is great. I've always understood it to be pretty common offline. All in perception maybe.

My Thoughts.

The internet and younger generations being so good with computers has also led, I think, to a rise in population (if you will) among the tickle communities. I think people are less ashamed of their sexual deviations and more open to exploring them, especially with the rise of the internet. I think if you explored any internet fetish community, you'd see a rise in users. ^_^

Tickling is an almost universal flirtatious action! Tickling is a common thing and many people find it arousing even if they don't have a particular liking of it as "ticklephiles" do. A form of tickling is enjoyed by the majority of the population, I think.

So, in conclusion, I think it's more a rise in universal population and an increased interest and open attitude towards sex and fetishes. Either way its good. ^______^
