A Conversation of Thought Karens?

Hi Everyone

It has been forever since I visited "officaily" and even longer since I posted. But I came across something recently that I think should be discussed.
It is about the future here, and I do hope this is the correct forum (cross fingers).

While surfing the webs I stopped by a very famous "hub" and took a peak into the sub folders/genres. Where I was quickly sent to a warning page per my search query.

I looked up hypnotism and was told that just by that search alone it might be an illeagal act? My reaction was how strange, while I am aware the direction of the country of my birth; if not the world is going in a quite zero sum direction and some parties want to burn books .. I honestly did not think we are ready to obliterate knowledge all togther .. well, not just yet.

I have read countless tales on this very site that have included the above elements of that search. My question to the community has this been something, in any form that anyone else here has encountered?

If the hub you're referring to is "pornhub", then yeah, they've gotten a bit foolish over the last few years.

Granted, Google is probably the biggest "thought Karen" out there with how they curate results to fit various narratives. Even DuckDuckGo has gone in that direction, as well as Facebook and Twitter.
