Holly shit on a shingle I'm loving this album. It's classic, Van Halen rock'n'blues with Eddie playing up to form and Dave delivering what he does best.

Can't wait for the tour!

Hell yeah! Here's a great video of opening night... Obviously its not 1982, they have aged no doubt, but I'm very happy to see them back together.. I've heard some of the new stuff (sounds promising), but haven't actually bought the album yet.. I plan on doing that this week.

New cd sounds really good, in fact better than the last 3 DLR/VH cds from the 80s. Too bad this won't last, Sammy will be back on vocals by August. Or Gary Cherone. Or whoever Eddie isn't pissed off at when the time comes.

Liked his older albums up till "1984" (liked a couple of tracks, got sick of hearing "I'll Wait" on the radio when I had this shitty job where they had a top-40 radio station on all day). Too whipped now to check out those videos but I'll get to that later!

I'm kinda 'meh' on their ode to Hervé Villechaize , but Blood & Fire seems alright & China Town is pretty dope.

She's the Woman is probably my favorite of the one's posted , though.

I've been pleasantly surprised with Van Halen's new album. I've been listening to it a lot the past few days. Definitely has the classic VH sound to it, which I guess shouldn't be too surprising since quite a few songs on the album are actually unreleased songs from early in their career.



Stay Frosty is a killer track. It's kind of like "Ice Cream Man - The Sequel". 😀

Honestly I couldn't stand the first release Tattoo and has left me with no interest in the rest of the album. That was a poor choice for a first single and is not helping motivate me to get the album. It's not what I would have hoped for after such a long wait. So far over all disappointed with the new stuff.
