What games are you looking to get in the upcoming months?? Im gonna get Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, Star Fox Adventures. And probably Animal Crossing. How about yall'?? 😎

Dammit once again I'll have to fork over some cash and buy another system ( Gamecube. ) I just bought an X-box a few weeks ago, and a PS2 a year ago, and a Dreamcast a year b4 that. This better be the last system that comes out for awile or Ill go broke :sowrong:

I bought a dreamcast but after Sega dicontinued them after about a year or so I decided not to jump right in and buy another gaming system. So right now I think Playstation 2 has the most games for it but Xbox looks like it might have the brighter future in the long term. Until there is more or less a clear winner I think I will stick with computer games.

My loyalty to particular video game systems closely follows the evolution of the "Final Fantasy" series. It's Playstation 2 all the way for me. Speaking of which, I've heard about FFXI being an online game. Anyone know about this? I take it I'll need at least a cable connection for the sake of performance.

My last console was a Nintendo 64, so that shows you how up to date I am on console games =/

The only game I'm really looking forward to is a PC game, Star Wars Galaxies. It's planned to release this winter, and should be amazing. In a nutshell you get to be a character in the Star Wars universe, along with literally thousands of other players from all over the world.

It should be grand 😀

I'm a PS2 owner and am currently playing "Final Fantasy X" as well as "Romance of the Three Kingdoms VII."

The fact that Squaresoft "Makers of the Final Fantasy" series supports the PS2 played a major factor in my choice of console systems. Also you can play PS1 games on the PS2 which gives you an almost unlimited choice of classic games at a bargain price. Plus a DVD player!

I'm looking forward to the following PS2 titles...

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin

Robotech: Battlecry

Xenosaga Episode 1

Morandilas
MTJ Publishing

Sweet

Im primarily a Nintendo gamer. Im busy right now with Lost Kingdoms and Resident Evil. Yea that next Xenosaga looks sweet though...😎

I mostly get games for the PC, as I'm usually on my computer more than anything else. I also snapped up a Dreamcast when my local electronics store had them for $99, and got NFL2K1 and Jedi Power Battles for it.

X-box looks like the best system right now, but I'm interested in the Gamecube mostly for the Star Wars titles. I'm hoping that Rogue Leader comes out in a PC version soon, as I've pretty much rolled through everything on my PC copy of Rogue Squadron.

I'm also looking forward to Star Wars Galaxies for PC. I need a new game! After 3 months, I've finally finished Jedi Outcast...what a run that was! I highly recommend it for anyone who likes the first-person type games, it's very good.

😎

I also have a nintendo 64, so I'm not very up-to-date on gaming systems either. I love the Legend of Zelda games for this console, and can't wait for a new one on the gamecube... hopefully I can afford a gamecube after some time passes and the novelty wears off a little. I also like Mario and all of his gaming exploits... Also Waverace 64 is my favorite racing game.

I've played Playstation and Playstation 2 games, and Dreamcast, but something tells me I'll just always be a loyal Nintendo customer.
And of course, NOTHING will ever compare to the fun of the old-skool nintendo... Mario 1,2 & 3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Bubble Bobble, Tetris, Donkey Kong, and a very bizzare game called "A Boy and his Blob", I'm not sure if anyone remembers it.

The problem with FFXI is that it will be online only, so you will have to pay for everything to play.

Well

I honestly do not think that they should be sending FF online. I just do not see how it is gonna still be FINAL FANTASY. I just hope they continue to make single player FF's...

Oh God, *twitch, twitch*

Yes I still remember that game. I got almost to the very end of Blobonia (or whatever the Blob's home planet was called), and couldn't get past some of the final stages there. God that was a bizarre experience 😀

I definitely dig the old school NES the best of all consoles, purely in terms of fun. The Legend of Zelda, Mario 3, Skate or Die, Crystallis, River City Ransom, Baseball Stars...all killer games for that platform.

Although there are some newer games that seem to have that element of kooky fun in them like Mario Party and wave race and such.

Oh and Dave, I'm sure I'll be seeing you on SWG this fall 😀 Just call me Darth Oblesklk.

You don't know the power of the dark side; I must obey the feather...

The games I'm playing with my PC right now are Neverwinter Nights
and Morrowind. I really like the RPG games. I got hooked when I started with a little text graphics game called Larn and one called Moria as well. Anyone remember any of those. Of course I played a bit Zork as well.

as a pc gamer...i'm looking forward to Sim City 4...i don't have much money to buy the systems but i have watched a friend of mine play on her playstation 2..looks really cool 🙂

Those games were good...but you forgot Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: The Manhattan Project. And Sega had some great games as well: Sonic the Hedgehog 1,2, and 3, Sonic and Knuckles, the Mortal Kombat games ( Sega's MK games could have the blood turned on by a cheat code), Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Streets of Rage 1,2, and 3....and my personal favorite, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist.

I wish someone would re-make the old X-Men arcade game, where 6 people played at the same time. Your team ( if you had everyone playing a character) was Cyclops, Wolverine, Colossus, Storm, Nighcrawler, and Dazzler.

That game was truly a classic. And probably the best multiplayer superhero game ever.

Well....it will be, until CITY OF HEROES comes out for the PC. I can't explain everything that makes this game sound like so much freakin fun.....if you're a person who always wanted to create your own superhero for a game and actually live a SIM-like life ( but where your only job is to protect the city), go to cityofheroes.com and check out all the info that's gonna make you say "HOLY SH**! THIS IS GONNA ROCK!!" lol Hmm...now that I think about it, the "life" you'll live in the game will be more similar to the Tick cartoon. For example: heroes without transportation powers like flying, leaping, superspeed...can't have vehichles ( there will be an expansion pack for that in the future, i think ) ...however....they can still get to where they need to go by taking the bus. lol

The PC game I am really looking forward to is Doom 3. The few clips I've seen of it look really awsome. Although I might have to upgrade my graphics card from a GeForce 2MX to a GeForce 4. I'm also looking forward to the sequal to Deus Ex. The first game was great. It's one of the only FPS's that I could play over and over again. They are keeping a pretty tight lid on that one though.

For the X-Box, I'm looking foward to Crimson Skies. I played the original on the PC, and I'm looking forward to the X-box take on it. I hear it is going to be a completely different game. Also, there is a new RPG coming out from the creator of Black and White. I can't remember what the title is, but it's as interactive as B&W was. If you are a vicious player, the NPC's will run and hide from you. If your compassionate, then they will be more willing to talk to you. If you favor your right arm in combat, it will get stronger, and you will see it get bigger. That one is probably a couple years away though.

after having burned by the Dreamcast, and what with cash being tight right now, I'm not getting too excited over anything on the new systems. All the games are either sequels or retreads of existing titles with better graphics or PC ports.

My soul belongs to Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. The sucker's just not letting go...

grand theft auto 4
tekken 4
nhl 2003
all for ps2

and i plan on buying a regular nintendo so i can pick up a few of my old favorites

yeah, that was the best. I also forgot Battletoads, and of course, Battletoads & Double Dragon. Also Dr. Mario

I also used to play a game on my mom's Macintosh called "Maelstrom", basically you just flew around in this little spaceship, shooting stuff, trying to avoid asteroids and picking up items. It was surprisingly addictive.

Weird, I actually remember this game. I've spent about 20 hours of my life on a mac, and about 19 of those were playing this game 😀

We played it in high school during class. I remember the game making all sorts of weird noises when you picked up items and such.

lol...yes! one of them was an orgasmic moaning type sound!

oh god, and a boy and his blob.... that has to be the most 'unique' nintendo game I've ever played. Once I got to a certain point in the blob's home planet, I couldn't figure out what they wanted me to do to pass the level, and I never beat it. But it was so cool just to go in that underground area and explore all the caves, it was pretty sweet graphics for such an early graphics system.

3D sucks 😉... well not always, it works sometimes...but god bless the old games!

Maelstrom rocks! I had that on my old mac, it was the only thing worth plugging it in for. As I recall, it was a screen-saver, right?

I just bought B17 - Flying Fortress for $10 from Kmart for PC, I love it. Because I got it so cheaply, it doesn't come with a manual so I'm working out all the buttons and everything as I go along. Does anyone else have this game?

my beloved sims game is getting a new expansion pack i can't wait...then i'm gonna get simcity 4....long time ago i used to play i believe it was space invaders and space intruders? or something like that...really old school

Why don't you just go to the "readme" thingie that comes with every PC game? That's also a manual...just not in a book thingie. lol

Anyway, I don't have B17 yet, but it did remind me of something: Anyone else here remember playing the WW2 flight game "Aces Over Europe" ? It was out about 8 years ago, I think. It was actually in 3-D. But so old that it ran on DOS. lol

I'd love for that game to be re-made with better graphics..and add sound to the radio stuff. The controls and other stuff were just fine. Hell, you could even make yourself invincible without any cheat codes...obviously necessary if you suck at flight games. lol.

So far, besides that, my fave flight game is Ace Combat 4 for the PS2. Controls just as great as Aces Over Europe's was, and the messages you recieve over your radio really help to save your butt. ( example: " Mobious One, he's on you, turn left hard!!" )

Oh and I forgot some other good "classics" :

Contra ( NES )
Spyhunter (NES)
Double Dragon , Double Dragon 2, Double Dragon 3 ( NES )
Simon's Quest 2 ( NES )

Oh yeah....and how many of you travled the "Organ Trail " ( or however it's spelled. lol ) on your old Apple computers?
😀

And how could the detective wanna-bes forget the "Carmen Sandiego " games for the PC? 😉

I think those have got to have been two of the most addictive ( and hard. lol ) computer games ever. Anyone here ever beat either the Carmen ones or the other one?
