A follow-up to my "Having Kids" Thread

Hi All! As some of you may remember I posted a while back about have kids. Well. It would seem that option has been made for me.

This is kinda embarrassing to talk about, but, being a man of nearly 40 I'm beginning to notice some new issues. Most notably, is that for the last few months I've had a harder and harder time getting "it" up. I've tried some stuff that, used to, would've got "it" up (looking\watching porn, reading erotic books\stories), but nothing has really worked yet.

So it would seem that, if I ever do manage to find someone, it's about, probably, a 90% chance we'll have to adopt.

And. Of course, there is the issue of finding someone, and with the issue noted above, it makes my confidence with the ladies even lower.

Positive side to all this is that I've also noticed my sex drive disappearing as well, so, little victories I guess.

Well, actually. It IS just a self diagnosis, but you mentioned it like it happened since my last post. Note it has gotten worse since I posted last, but I was starting to notice something was up (or, in this case, not getting up) then.

There are a lot of reasons that could be happening, and almost every one of them has a solution. You need to talk to a doctor about it 🙂

IDK. I just had to get it out. My only, in person, social group is my mother and sister, and this is kinda embarrassing to share with women at least face to face.

Yeah. I know. They're a lot of reasons why it could be happening. Thing is that I don't really trust my doctor with something like this.

Why are you trusting thousands of strangers with no medical experience tho? Find a new doctor. It seems super irrational to make that decision because you don't like the one you have even though you haven't brought it up with them. See a urologist or something. I don't get it

OK! My bad! I just did a little reading on the subject at healthline. Turns out that I may have jumped the gun slightly. They're actually a lot of stuff I can do myself before seeing my doctor about it.

Although, truth be told, I did get a little uncomfortable when I read the word "Impotence" . LoL!

Not a bother. Just wasn't sure if you were looking for advice, support, similar experiences, a certain kind of insight, just venting, etc.

I will stand firm on seeing a doctor. It's the easiest way to get a clear answer.

Thanks! And I will, but knowing him, he will tell me to try these things first.

I've got it down to a few things that it could be. Two really high possibilities, needing to loss weight or stress because 2020 was about 99% stress.

Definitely see a doctor about it. You might get referred to a specialist.

Sometimes factors like weight and diabetes can affect a man's ability to achieve an erection/orgasm.

But there also might be ways to fix it.
