So as a lot of you know the NYC Munch was this weekend. Well some of us took it as an opportunity to get together for the weekend and spend some time with each other. So 4 of us traveled from almost 4000 miles away total in all different directions and Bald(Dave) put us up for the weekend. Pics here.

The munch itself went really great and the place he chose was the perfect venue for such an event. It was a dark lounge with music in a really cool area, secluded and there was even a little spontaneous play, which normally does not happen at a munch, but the mood was so relaxed and the privacy of the place afforded it and the whole night was a blast. Everyone that came was very mellow and we already have a couple of them already beginning to post and they want to get active in the community. I don't think you could have asked for it to go any better. It was so great to meet some of the first time attendees and even better to see the faces of some of the older names from the community. I'm glad everyone could make it! I may see you at another in the future.

As for staying over for the weekend, it could not have been in better hands in a better place and have a better time. Seeing NYC was pretty amazing! It's just one of those places in this country everyone want's to see at sometime or another. Got to stroll through Battery Park, outskirts of Central Park, Wall Street, the girls did some shopping in SoHo, saw Lady Liberty, and went by the site of the World Trade Center grounds. Everything is as busy and big as it looks everywhere else on tv, movies, print. And the trips to and from Crooklyn where Dave lives were always fun. I'm sure they are boring everyday for work, but traveling with people is always a ball.

But the man put up too many people in too small an apartment, and somehow it seemed just right. Hell I prepaid for a hotel room for 2 nights and never even saw my hotel once. LOL And I would do it again in a heartbeat. We broadcast Friday night's radio show live from there on speaker phone with everyone getting to chime in and our very own CrystalLight got quite a few doses of "attitude adjustment" on the air. 😉

Sat was a full day of sight seeing and roaming the city. Then we made it to the munch JUST in time for the start....in fact Milagros beat us there. (good to meet you sir). Not only did Ray and Tracy come along with JPie and Giantfan but Ray even got up 3 flights of stairs.....but I did steal his walker at one point outside. 😛 Someone should have asked our hot Russian waitress to join us. lol Although I did ask the tall blond if we were making too much noise and she said "naaah, I'm just came on in the last 30 mins, but you guys look to be having a blast". THX, Adron, and Max Power it was great to meet you guys and already see you posting. Max mostly because he was threatened. 😀 It was a great time, great venue, and great people, without a doubt.

We cruised around slowly heading back to the apartment, taking pics. Jo lost her kid to a homeless guy in a hand of blackjack, then went double or nothing and lost the future ones. :jester: Hanging around at the apartment was a blast and comforting with that many people into tickling in the room, not because tickling went on round the clock, but just because we were able to talk about forum related stuff openly knowing everyone shares the same feelings for it and the TMF was on 3 computers all the time and we just logged in and out of our screen names. In fact at one point the first night, during the radio show, I looked over and SnailShell is on the site and I just said in a disgusted way "OMG YOU LOOK AT A TICKLING WEBSITE??? FREAK!" bwhahah Became one of many quotes over the weekend that got repeated over and over.

Anyway it started as a weekend where everybody but one person got in late because of their rides, and ended with everybody but one person ALMOST missing their ride home. It was a blast like I can't put into words and yet a further testament of the friends you can make here. Everyone of the people I was "seeing" for the first time, but not one that I felt I was meeting for the first time. It was like seeing a great friend after a long absence. There was such love in the building that you never wanted to leave. One of the things that impressed upon me, and it may not matter to most people, but when walking the city all weekend, some times people were arm in arm or around the shoulder visiting as they talked, but anytime the two girls were walking together hand in hand, there was always a guy behind them, to the street side of them, and one in the front of them. It was unspoken, but just always formed that way everywhere we went... a caring when you protect people you love without knowing you are doing it. It meant something to me.

SnailShell - Josh I'm really glad you were able to make it. You are quality people as everyone always said over the years and I'm glad to have gotten to know you. We ALMOST even over looked the fact you are Canadian. 😛

BrightEyes - Mondy, you are an awesome piece of "shit talking" work! lol We've been great friends for a while and meeting you wasn't close to a let down. You are everything I've ever thought good about you and more. I really do love you and the look on your face was priceless when you found out I was there. And you sooo didn't "pwn" me. 😉

CrystalLight - Jo, thanks for being goober happy seeing NYC for the first time with me and being a sick bitch with me ALL THE TIME. Nothing more, and nothing less. Sentimental wise...there are no words you don't already know, and there is no one here I'm closer to and trust more. :smilelove

Baldadonis - Dave you are the shit sir, in every respect. There is a reason we just clicked from the first time we talked. I think we share a brain sometimes and I shit you not, you are like a brother. Thank you so much for opening your home (turn down the heat bitch 😀) to the four of us, knowing there wasn't enough room and not giving a shit about that in the least because we all had everything we need. There is no way any of us could have enjoyed your city more without you as a guide tunnel jumping and subway hopping like champs. Your munch was as awesome as your hospitality. Thanks for the great weekend you made possible and made happen...all we had to do was show up. You haz a win...big time. 🙂

Love you guys like few others. :cuddle:

Damn, Krazie. I just had the most exhausting, stressful, messed-up day of work ever. I'm really not in the right frame of mind to deal with this right now, but I will endeavor to do so, because I owe you guys nothing less.

Jay, Josh, Jo, and Mondy: Thank you to the four of you so much for coming a great distance to spend time with me and to support the munch scene. You four all know how I feel about you. My home is always open to you if you feel like coming back again.

Thanks again to everyone who came out to the munch as well. Both of the newbies from the first munch came back, which I was exceptionally happy to see, plus we had some great new faces, and was well as some familiar old ones (really old in Venray's case) show up. I'm glad everyone enjoyed the venue (I agree it was much improved from the original location), but the people made the evening come alive. Thank you all so much for coming. I look forward to seeing everyone again soon. And if you didn't come, well you FAIL! Not really, but come next time.

Thanks again to Dave for a great weekend and to Krazie, Jo and Mondy for being good company. 🙂

I paid for the trips up and down the stairs the next day, but I would do it again in a second to spend some time with good peeps like you.....:smilelove

And it was great to see focus who I havent seen in a few years and to meet some of the newer folks whose screenames were known to me but not the guys themselves until that night..:rotate:

And Mils...what can I say......always good to see you....:woot:

All in all a great night out for Tracy and I to which we also owe Judy and Dave a big hug for letting us tag along...🙂
