A message to all whom use the same computer as parents

It came to my attention, that when i signed up to the yahoo groups, my inbox was bombarded by e-mails that were from these groups. I got about 10 a day.

I have stopped using my mothers e-mail address and have my own.

Also, using the unsubscribe option doesn't work, it just confirms your address so they can send you more. They may also be able to send you viruses which isn't a good thing.

Just thought you might like to know.

you can choose for the group not to send you any mail when you sign up. i use a seperate yahoo address for y! groups which i never check, so it doesn't really bother me.

yeah i deleted my last email because of those yahoo groups emails. it is such a dumb idea to send a email to you everytime someone posts on a group. yeah i always click the "no email" button.

I'm using for yahoo this old e-mail adress on a dutch server.. The last time I checked it was about 2½ years ago. I don't care about it...

Maybe such a thing is best for you?

I haven't had a problem with the yahoo groups. I'm a member of some of the picture groups. The mods of these groups also keep the spam down.
