Please keep these young children and their families in your prayers this holiday season. I'll say nothing about the assailant for the simple fact that it's not about him. I hope the community can start the road to recovery as soon as possible.

That's it. Merry Christmas, all

I know I've already posted this in another thread and I don't know the particular circumstances for the reason you have posted this, but I have a hunch this is an appropriate response and bears repeating:

Dear all of humanity,

If you are a person with an intimate desire to kill people, have you considered just killing yourself? Seriously! Think about it! It's win-win! You get to kill someone and the the rest of us won't regret your actions! To everyone else, enjoy your life and pray for everyone who have unfortunately lost their lives to these jerks.

Sincerely,
Smoten

It's so awful, such a tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are going out to the family members who lost their children and parents today.

Agreed. I had no words when I heard about what happened.

I agree!!!! A moment of silence is the very LEAST we can do for the family's of the victims!

I just heard about it, awful, just awful. I'm glad my family wasn't in that mess, yet I do feel bad about those who were 🙁

I'm with those above me. Not really much you can say, other than that we're thinking about them.

I think the reporters need to leave the children ALONE rather than sticking MICROPHONES in their FACES after they just experiences a HORRIFICALLY TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE! On top of that, I heard a little snip-it that this Ryan guy is actually the shooter's BROTHER (meaning that the press may have gotten the shooter's IDENTITY WRONG)! Either way, my heart goes out to the children, the teachers, and everyone else who is suffering due to this horrific event. I'm praying to god some OTHER MONSTER doesn't try to copy cat this horrific crime.

The moment of silence is what they need. It's not fair for the children to suffer something like this when they had in fact a whole day ahead of them.

The Killer must be stopped.

I finally heard the news today over the radio at work. It's absolutely sickening and it pisses me off. It makes me angry and sad that there are sooo many horrible people in this world. That's why I always try my very best to be a good-fuck'n-person; because the more I show compassion and kindness to my fellow man, the less worse off it will be. There's more than enough evil and suffering in this world, it doesn't need anymore help.

If more people thought like this, things would be a lot better.

Btw, when Karen saw this post over my shoulder, she said "TT needs a 'like' button." XD

Hey, I think it's a good idea XD

In all seriousness, my prayers and thoughts go out to the victims and their families. Tragedy of the highest order, and we're all thinking about you.

Hey guys. First off, yes my thoughts and blessings to the friends and families of the victims. But here's a little (probably considered long) thing that I feel as though should be shared throughout. Its Morgan Freeman's impressions and thoughts on the incident:

"You want to know why. This may sound cynical, but here's why.

It's because of the way the media reports it. Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are household names, but do you know the name of a single *victim* of Columbine? Disturbed
people who would otherwise just off themselves in their basements see the news and want to top it by doing something worse, and going out in a memorable way. Why a grade school? Why children? Because he'll be remembered as a horrible monster, instead of a sad nobody.

CNN's article says that if the body count "holds up", this will rank as the second deadliest shooting behind Virginia Tech, as if statistics somehow make one shooting worse than another. Then they post a video interview of third-graders for all the details of what they saw and heard while the shootings were happening. Fox News has plastered the killer's face on all their reports for hours. Any articles or news stories yet that focus on the victims and ignore the killer's identity? None that I've seen yet. Because they don't sell. So congratulations, sensationalist media, you've just lit the fire for someone to top this and knock off a day care center or a maternity ward next.

You can help by forgetting you ever read this man's name, and remembering the name of at least one victim. You can help by donating to mental health research instead of pointing to gun control as the problem. You can help by turning off the news."

yeah i saw that on facebook but i agree with alot of people, u got media asking these kids what happened. i saw a teacher sacrificed her life for her students before the gunman shot himself. what bravery a young teacher practiccally most of our ages had. A moment of silence is so needed, lots of prayer, but also lost of thoughts on things in america an this world

I agree with that.

Thank you. That means a lot to me. I caught the President's speech on the matter earlier tonight and I thought it was rather touching. He has earned my respect tonight; the first president within my lifetime to have done so. If you haven't heard it, you can watch it here. I also recommend watching this video afterwords.

Morgan Freeman is an awesome person. I really like the way he always speaks his mind. He is a great humanitarian.

Why is it that Morgan Freeman is NEVER wrong?

Starting to wonder if he really is God...

This is truly horrific, I dunno what's wrong with these people. My prayers are of course with all of the families involved.

Why is it that Morgan Freeman is NEVER wrong?

Starting to wonder if he really is God...

Apparently, he has already said so.

If Morgan Freeman really was God, would he prove that he exists through the power of science? I for one would be interested in hearing him explain how he created life, the universe and everything... Oh wait... He kinda already does that...

The evidence seems pretty compelling. I think you might be right.
