A Poem on Tickling

[Chaneda]

Endless Pleasure

Blissful Blossoming of Bountiful Gales,
Careful Caressing of Giddy Columbs,
Innocent Intentions of Impending Glee,
Thunderous Turmoil of Galant Tossing.

Smiles slipping softly, so sweet, so subtle,
Ambiental amountings, averaging aloft.

Feelings overwhelming,
Heaven's Gates at sight,
Torturous expressions,
Hellish fate in store.

Laughter bouncing freely,
So quick and fluid,
Beauty in the purest fashion,
The best choir of all.

Five Fingers of Fluttering Gist,
Demanding Deamons of Gloutonous Demour,
Complete Canning of Cantankerous Goul,
Enternal Eminance of Glowing Essence.

I don't know, John...I once read a piece by Lewis Carroll in which he defines all the words he used in "Jabberwocky." Frankly, the poem was much more fun when the words were mysterious and ambiguous. (Admittedly, his later "definitions" were probably facetious.)

Schmidt, the term "Columbs" is spelled incorrectly...it should be spelt "Coloumbs", which refers to a unit of electric current. Thus, the line " Careful Caressing of Giddy Columbs" refers to the giddiness produced from tickling in the form of electric-like sensations that sweep through the skin and into the soul to produce an impending state of happiness. "Ambiental" refers to "Ambience" or the surroundings, which in this case are "averaging aloft", or climbing up into the clouds of celestial delight.

And thank you for saying to was enjoyable to read! It's only a first draft, but I plan to send it to a local poetry column and see if it'll be posted...

Just for those interested, I wrote that poem yesterday over a Starbucks coffee (Yes, we have Starbucks here in Perú) with a good friend of mine and had felt inspired to write about it. She liked it which made me happy, so I decided to share the love...poetry is such sweet romance of the senses! 😀
