Hi everyone,

Now, I know this is the internet and la dee da.... And if you make your email/ webpage public, you are bound to get some crack heads sending you messages.

I was wondering if anyone has reported a person to the AOL/ MSN/ YAHOO "authorities" for harassment. And if you did, did the harassment stop?

Usually blocking someone's email, or just letting them know that you think they are (insert insults) gets them to figure out that you don't like them and they leave you alone.

Every once in awhile you meet this idiot with a chemical imbalance who doesn't understand the word STOP even if it was carved with a knife on his/her forehead.

And every time you block their screen name, they just get a new one and email you anyway.

So let me know your methods of getting rid of the few crack heads that send you emails and just don't understand that they are like virtual internet cockroaches who have built up a resistance to RAID!

Please respond. Thanks

Hi Sunrise! I'm so sorry to hear that, and though I haven't had a problem like this, I would definately report all the info to their ISPs. I just keep thinking unless we start reporting them and getting them kicked off their ISPs others will always feel free to do it. I hope everyone who knows also gives their opinion. Good luck 🙂

Having worked for an ISP...

we would turn over our customers with harrassment issues to our network admin, to my knowledge we had tracked down and prosecuted various individuals in the companies 6 year life. You might want to report it to your ISP, they would be the best people to help you out.

Frighten them. I used to have religious people bothering me all of the time, until once day, I was bored. 🙄 I replied to their email with one long letter that said some weird stuff about Jesus and him having toaster problems. Never did hear from any of them again.

Sunriseticklee, I am having the same problem 🙁 seems No or not interested means anything any more. Not ever leave me alone!
I got some advance here, thanks for asking the question. I hope you get your problem resolved!🙂

How about a combination of advice?

Block the person's mail (block every name they use to mail you), AND report it to your ISP, and this person's ISP. Every time they get a new mail addy and mail you, report them to both ISP's.. depending on where you are located and what the stalking laws are like, you may be able to prosecute this person.
