a question about yawning..

ok.. lol... do you ever notice that sometimes when you yawn, a spray of water or whatever erupts from your mouth? why do you do that at times?

yes a silly question..i prefer silly to serious at times..

It happens when you position your saliva glands just right. Back in high school, they called it "gleeping", and I knew a kid who could do it at will. He used to wait for a teacher he didn't like to walk past his lunch table and he'd hose down the back of his khakis. I do it all the time, but unfortunately can't control it. If you anchor your tongue against the roof of your mouth and then move your lower jaw around with your mouth open, you're bound to do it eventually by accident.

I studied FOREVER how to do, it and now I can "gleek" pretty well.
It's actually kinda funny when someone thinks it's raining or something lol

well,my eyes always water when I yawn (which is why I hate to).The only reason I can figure why water would spray from your mouth is because your mouth watered when you yawned

The Urban Dictionary has a bunch of slang uses for "gleep". One is "a person who sucks the farts out of movie theater seats". Another is "semen left in public places". I guess it means "stealing stuff" elsewhere.

actually it's called gleeking >.> I learned about this a few weeks ago after also asking others what it was on my Deviantart journal...wikipedia helped shed some light on it as well http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gleeking

thankfully I have'nt had that happen when talking to people face to face...sometimes gleeking happens at random when I talk to myself o_o
