This is a question more to the new TMF people I suppose... but older TMF might still remember...

Did you find that after you discovered that you had a tickling fetish, or something similar, either here... or at some other place... you started to dream about it more frequently than you used to?

I found this place only a few months ago... before then, I had only had perhaps 3 dreams in my entire 18 years of living that I can remember... and even then they were only sparse moments in the dreams. Since then, I've had 4 or 5 in the span of 2 months with a bit better detail and length in them. What about other people?

I'm not consciously aware of any dreams that I have had in the past ten years.

I can definitely admit to having more tickling dreams since discovering the community. How many I had since them, or in a month, I don't even know or count...

i was told if you think about something more often then youre more likely to dream about it...
or it could just be your subconsious.
i myself dont usually remember dreams for that long- but last night i had one about saving magic sheep from this castle...or something
:wow:

I can usually easily remember at least one dream per night (although they are usually shit) Like I'll say something that makes absolutely no sense to someone else who walks out of a completely random room, then I sit down on a sofa in a friend’s house, even though I haven't gone anywhere. That sort of nonsense is the usual turnout when I remember what I've been dreaming of.
I'm no expert but I’m pretty sure everyone's head is awash with dreams when they sleep. It's remembering them that's the hard part. The mind works in very mysterious ways: I recently remembered a dream from at least a year ago, that I either never even realised I had, or forgot about after a few hours of waking up, until hundreds of days later, when, completely unprompted, it popped into my head again with perfect clarity.
I only dream about tickling very rarely, which is rather annoying. I know someone who says he can control his dreams, and do what he wants in them, as though he were fully conscious. He says a lot of things though.

I dream of tickling rarely... probably because I have so much else going on. The dreams I remember usually have something to do with my work. :evilha: :cry1:

Once in awhile I get inspiration from a dream. For instance, I recently figured out the solution to a landscaping problem that my wife and I had been wrestling with for a week. :rotate:

Two other points:

Actually Lime, I pretty sure that everyone dreams whenever they enter REM in their sleep. and...

Aphrael, a word of warning. Keep your livestock away from the prince of poor lumination, HewhoDoesSheep. :shake:

I pretty sure that everyone dreams whenever they enter REM in their sleep.

Yeah, as far as I can remember from science days... you dream pretty much everytime you go to sleep. You just don't often remember it. And I've got a feeling that dreaming happens between REM sleep... as in when your sleeping is shallow, say just before you wake up.

I know someone who says he can control his dreams, and do what he wants in them, as though he were fully conscious. He says a lot of things though.

Don't be too cynical about that, he could well be right. If I'm right about the last quote... you are close to consciouness when you dream. And besides, I had controll over my dreams during primary school to a certain extent. I managed to learn how to wake up from nightmares... as in if the dream was getting scary, I'd simply force my eye lids open from inside the dream... later on though, I wouldn't wake up, instead the path of the dream would break and a different dream would start instead... much nicer of course. And the other thing was I convinced myself I could fly... but that eventually turned into swimming in air. The reason I say I did these myself is because I can remember trying to make those descisions in previous dreams and actually working up to being able to do it and having controll over other things too.

Though unfortunately I lost that skill after a while and would just simply wake up if I tried to make a conscious descision.

But yeah, I've noticed at least when I remember dreams, that stuff I normally do is getting transferred into dreams. (which can be annoying when morals and standards get in the way of having fun)

Dreaming...

I only sometimes remember my dreams, and I think that has something scientifically to do with the proximity of the dream to when I awake.

I will say that on days I have had more erotic thoughts, I have a greater tendency to have erotic dreams. They are often non-sensical, where people, places, and things are not as they normally are - in other words, I will be at a school then walk through a door and be in a park and then suddenly even be in another part of the country.

As far as your underlying question about dreaming about tickling - this has happened to me on occassion. It is much more likely to happen if I was just on this board, or watching something on tv related right before falling asleep.

Finally, the dreams do sometimes provide me with inspiration.

If you don't wank or have sex for a week or two, you'll start having really fun dreams, I promise.

This is entirely possible. Do a google search on lucid dreaming. Yo
You can learn to control the content of your dreams although it takes a lot of discipline. Some bookshops sell guides and CDs on how to lucid dream.

Just imagine...every tickling scenario you ever imagined at your fingers (no pun intended.) Personally I always liked flying in my dreams but tickling is good too. 🙂

I don't know about dreaming more but I definitely fantasize more since finding tickling on the internet.

Agreed. Remember though, you only realize you had a dream when you wake up before it finishes, so those of you with no or few you can remember, myself included, probably slept through quite a few.

I don't dream about it at all since I started doing ti for real.

Lucid dreaming huh? Sounds like heaps of fun... and will give me something to do when I'm sleeping I spose... I'll have a look, thanks.

This stuff is amazing!

I've been reading through a whole heap of this stuff and though I havn't had the chance to try it myself, I've already found that a couple of my friends have tried it before and managed to do it. Not to mention one of my friends is making me a CD with Brain Synced White Noise that is supposed to help me to get to sleep (worked for him and a few other people).

But eitherway, this stuff is fascinating... and it explains alot about why I was able to lucid dream a little during primary school. For starters I really enjoyed the dreams and always tried to remember them... and doing this (especially keeping a journal) helps you remember more and more dreams when you wake up. And it makes sense too alot of this.... hehe, I'm looking forward to all of this, even if it just helps me sleep better.

Thankyou soo much suikoden for the suggestion

Dreams

Dreams are a way for our unconscious to make sense of things in our lives. If you do not remember your dreams, it is likely you are not consciously ready to deal with certain issues. If you used to dream about tickling and no longer do, it might just mean that it is no longer an issue you struggle with and have come to terms with your desires.

If you have any recollection of your dreams, listen to them.

Dreams are a very useful tool for knowing your own mind, especially if you are a spiritually aware person.

I dreamed last night that me and my friends spent at least an hour breaking into a supermarket in the middle of the night to get salami because we really needed to put salami in our sandwiches.

Okay, I take it back. It ain't useful at all! 😱

Yeah the stuff I dreamt about last night was pretty inconsequential too. In one part I dreamt that one of my friends layed down on the strings of a grand piano... without its legs... and only one string per key... which is very odd.... so that we could more easily work out a poly rhythm... but a teacher from my old school came in school hall door... so I got her to stand up quickly... and then we sorta packed the grandpiano away like a suitcase... once again.... odd.

Your welcome Pianist 🙂

Just remember that learning to lucid dream is a marathon rather than a sprint. It might take weeks before you crack it or you might do it in a few days. Tickling dreams are fun but you can also use it for problem solving and dealing with anxieties etc.

Keep us posted and let us know when you are playing concertos on toes and tummies in your dreams!

Yeah I know about it taking a while to get started... thats why I'm gonna try and do it after exams (next week) cause I've got a break of 6 weeks before symester 2 of uni starts again... but sure thing, I'll keep you posted.
