I just want to vent about this. I am a tad pathetic, I eat, sleep and breath DBZ. Vegeta is my favorite character, and I want to hear what the other DBZ fans have to say about this. Vegeta trains so much harder than Goku.....and yet he can never quite get stronger.....no matter what. I also hate the fact that he never beats the bad guy!! Take the Majin Buu saga. (SPOILER ALERT) He had 7 f'n years of trainin' and he STILL couldnt beat Goku or Buu!!!! It just sucks because he cares the most and he never gets what he deserves!!! GRRRRRRR!!!!! lol.....😎

......yeah, that does suck......I like vegeta a lot too.......however, you know what bites even more than not being able to see vegeta surpass goku?

Well, I had to post on this one.
Aside from Ryoko, Vegeta is my all time favorite amime character. But let's face it fellas, it's Goku's show. It always has been, and it always will be. Vegeta didn't come in until the second saga. That said, he's still my favorite character. Why? because he's flawed. Let's fact it, he's an arrogant ass. He's also very proud and very vain. But it's these qualities that make him more human (or at least easier to relate to) than Goku.
Don't get me wrong I like Goku. But he's too noble for my blood. And quite frankly I think he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. That's one advantage that Vegeta has over him, he's smarter and meaner (I guess that's two advantages). If they were equal in power then it wouldn't be a contest. Provided that Vegeta could hold his arrogance in check, he would mop the floor with Goku.

I agree with all that but GOHAN IS THE STRONGEST fighter
not only did he go SSJx2 before goku or vegeta but on a downside
his mom won't let him train in the past 7years (even though she train goten)but when next september shows up (spoiler) vegeta stays dead till the lst 10 episodes,goku goes SSJX3 and of course gohan turns mystic making him as strong as x3 bu without going sjj. unlike goku and vegeta who still have too.

he could beat goku with out turning sjj but goku did train in heaven and hell for 7 years to you never know in the world of dbz.maybe goten is really the strongest fighter or even trunks

Perhaps this will lead Vegeta to come to terms with the futility of trying to surpass Goku in an endless self-perpetuating cycle of emotional displacement. Perhaps he could discover the joys of a quiet, intellectual life, retire to the country, take up literary criticism and start integrating faux-French words into his dialect.
