Introduction and sample picture.

Hello,

Seeing as how this environment is becoming very competitive as an artist, I find it necessary to provide a link to a picture from my group even though I'm uneasy about it.

But first things first, and I need to say a few things.

First and foremost, this whole theme of tickling is something that is out of the norm for me. My artwork has not consisted of tickling or the like in the past. My work is multi-faceted, and so barefoot pictures and such are only one facet or theme among many. So it is my hope that I am not viewed as or assumed to be a fetish artist of any kind by this community and the fetish community in its entirety.

I realize fully the type of environment I have gotten myself into now however. Its both good and uncomfortable at the same time. Its good because I do like the idea of tickling. I also like anime. So as an artist who draws anime/manga style art, tickling it yet another facet I can create in my work. Its also good because I am amongst a people now that like this concept. So its most beneficial and productive.

However, this is also uncomfortable. Its uncomfortable, because I've never been here before. Its a reality that I'm not drawn to as heavily as you all are or may be. With all do respect. I'm not driven by an impulse or a fetish as you may be. I realize obviously this makes me different, even though people are coming to like me and my artwork. I suppose its that I'm also under pressure as an artist who takes requests.

In any event, I'm here now. So thats that.


Now, onto the sample picture.

However, I do have a request of all of you. I ask that you do not distribute, post, copy, save, edit, manipulate, etc. etc. this art piece and all my other ones now and in the future without my clear permission first. See, in reality, now that I've exposed myself and my art to the internet, I have to protect my property. And I will do so. I know very well I can't stop anyone from doing anything. Thats why I'm uneasy as I said with this whole process. So I'm hoping you'll honor my rights and my request. Thank you.

This sample picture is of Lt. Maya Ibuki from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Shes getting ready for some winter activities. I made sure she had only one sock on, so as to give the idea that shes taking her time in getting ready.

Well, thats it for now. Thank you for your time, and hopefully understanding in this entire matter. I hope to get your opinions on my posts and on my artwork. Remember, I do have my yahoo group, and thats where this picture is coming from obviously. Seeing as how I'm sharing some of my art with everyone who finds it, or seeks it, I'd hope that you would join my group. Thank you.

Well, the group still is pretty new. So it doesn't have much content right now as far as tickling is concerned. But it will, even if thats not a major point to make. I generally have an update every week. And I'm usually really speedy with requests, often getting them drawn, scanned, and posted within a week.

And thank you for the compliment and understanding. For some reason I felt people that would see this thread would skip right to the picture, and may not have bothered with the post. Hopefully thats not the case.

But thank you for the compliments. I've seen what the others artists are capable of. And without patting myself on the back too much, I can tell based on what I'm seeing from the others that I can compete in this community if I so wished to and quite possibly take a forward role.

Again, thank you for the compliments. And I'll be making my own site for my work eventually. I only choose to use yahoo because its already set up for you. And for a man thats busy like me, thats a good thing.

Thats ok. But maybe you should stop using pot. It may be small details now, but you might not even know who you are before too long. 😛

I haven't drawn any catgirls yet. But I can. Its not that difficult. Just as I said for drawing girls with glasses in another post. The bodies are the same for the most part, so its not that difficult. I'm going to draw Darkstalker characters in the future. And Felicia is a catwoman. So she will most likely be my first catwoman drawing.

I also forgot to mention that I've had two updates recently. I recently posted a picture of Chun-Li Xiang and Cammy White from Street Fighter. That one was a first. Most or all of my pictures there are a first.

I also just now updated again with a picture of Mutsumi Otohime(also a first) from Love Hina. Shes my tie favorite character with Haruka for that series. I plan to draw the entire female cast eventually, between requests.

Anyhow, I thought I should mention that. Since people here post updates, I might as well too.

Thats a good request, but this is not the place to do it. I'd ask that all requests are done on my group. And I just now uploaded the requesting rules. I suggest you give those a gander. But your request is a good one. But read those rules first before posting about it.

As far as me saying you need to provide a picture, well again, I answer that in the rules. I am self sufficient. But sometimes there are series I know very little about. And I require that the requestees provide pictures regardless of whether I know about it or not. its just a precaution. It also helps me out because I often don't have the time to go find the pictures myself. Thats the requestee's job. But its all in the rules I just posted. They'll tell you what you need to know.

Yeah. Don't worry about that. Yahoo has technical difficulties every now and then. Thats happened before, and not just in my group.

You should refresh the page and see if that works, or you can try again later. If your not a member of yahoo groups then it most likely will not work until you register. But I'm guessing you are registered. In any event, just keep trying. That particular error messege doesn't happen often. And your the first person to tell me that its ever happend on my site.

However, it would seem that you didn't read the rules. But as I said in the post there, I'll let it slide since its your first time and this is the first time the rules have actually been posted.

But in the future I'd ask that you and everyone that requests follow them closely. This helps me, the members, and the whole process. It makes things run smoother and factors out such slowdown incidents from happening. 🙂


Anyways, its a nice request. And Final Fantasy is definitely a series with good characters for me to draw. On all levels of art, not just this one facet.

Your art work is great, I dont see why you should have to compete with the other artists out there, are you planning on selling it?

Also in the past various artists have worked together on projects combining their skills to make some excellent work, maybe you could give that some thought, it's just an idea.

Thank you for the compliments. I'm glad you think my artwork is good, and I'm flattered that you think its good enough to be sold. I am however not selling any of it. As far as being competitive with other artists, I say that mainly because the better you are, the more members you will have. The more you deliver, the more people will recognize you regardless of your standing. As I said, I'm not a fetish artist, and I realize that has probably handicapped me in the sense that I won't be getting as many members as I probably would if I had been a fetish artist. But since that particular group of mine does deal in part with feet (and I like the idea of tickling so I add that in too), perhaps in retrospect, I'm not handicapped.

I just suppose its the image I have amongst people and how it will come to relate to my art or reputation. Though I'm not even sure what that is as it stands, being brand new to the scene and all.

As far as working in colaboration with other artists, I've heard of that happening, but I myself don't see how I would be put into a position where that would be possible or the quality of my work would warrant such involvement. While I will admit that my work is good in this style of anime, especially compared to the limited experience and content there is now among the artists, I don't even hold myself in such a regard so as to sell my work or to participate in a collaboration with other artists.

Do you really think that based on what you've seen thus far from me, that I'm good enough? Also, could you elaborate on what you mean by "various artists have worked together on projects combining their skills to make some excellent work". Are you suggesting a manga or something?

Another update.

I have just now made another update to my group. I've uploaded a picture of Mitsune Konno from Love Hina. Its my first time drawing her also. I'd like some feedback, if I can get it. 🙂

So now my Love Hina album has Naru, Mutsumi, and now Mitsune. For Love Hina, I'm going to do Haruka Urashima next. I'll also eventually draw them in couples and in groups. 🙂

Hi Damien, another great update of the Love Hina Genre, good stuff, and as far as my question goes about you selling your art, I was unsure about what you meant by competing with other artists, but you seem to have cleared this up nicely, and I'd also like to add that you are definately not handicapped, I'm sure others will agree with me on that. Also my opinion on working with other artists was just a suggestion for you to think about, since it has been done before, maybe not now but in the future you will be able to do so if you feel your skills and reputation has evolved enough to do so.
What I meant by working with other artists was to share characters and trade ideas for new artwork like Cheshire Cat and Poisonous monkey have done, so maybe you should check out their work if you havn't already to see what I mean.

I see. Well, thats a good idea I suppose. But skill aside, I don't know anybody in this or any of the fetish communities hardly. Just a few people. And most of them aren't even artists. And the few people I do know are the ones that request picture to be drawn. Thats how I even meet any of these people most of the time, with the exception of this particular site, and a couple others.

I still have a question however. When you said they work together, how is that? And was this professionally, or for money? I mean, I have seen those two artists' works, and both are members of my group, but I wouldn't know anything about what they have done in the way your describing.

And thank you for thinking I'm not handicapped. I know my art is good compared to the likes of everyone else. And perhaps I even fit in regardless. But I guess its just that I fell I haven't adjusted yet or if I will. I'm certainly not used to drawing like this, but its fun anyways. And its good to know that people like it. At least I would hope.

No no, thats fine. I really have no intentions of working on a project with anyone. Whats important for me now is to have more content, more members, and to increase in skill. I'm aware I'm one of the VERY few artists (at least for anime) that are willing to draw along this theme. Theres a great demand, and little supply. So if I'm going to be effective I need to improve. And for the sake of staying in the game, I need more members. Alot of people don't even know I exist, even in this community.
