So recently I had a couple of Lovenox shots (low density heparin) which were suddenly a subject of great debate when the two PA's at the clinic could not agree on whether or not Lovenox was safe for H.I.T. Patients. I received my first one in january. It bruised like crazy, the bruise is still about 4 in in diameter and black. The cardiologist hat performed my cath last week didnt seem alarmed by it so I was hit again with the Lovenox, not 2 inches from the bruise from the first. That spot bruised a little but started fading in a few days. Suddenly the first injection site bruise has decided to conquer new territory. I have name the bruise Alexander the Great, but he needs to go
I know some bruising is normal with warfarin use but I dont think the bruises are supposed to be slaughtering the masses in a fight for world domination. How should I vanquish this epidermal conquerer? Ice, heat pack? Punching? Switchblade?

use those ninja skills of yours and chop that arm off

Goth might be on to something. They may have injected you with the Z virus!

Seriously, I'd be concerned about medical personnel injecting me with ANYTHING while displaying uncertainty about the safety. If it's feasible, you may wanna get a second and third opinion from a different doctor or doctors. I'm no expert, but if you're not in your 80s, I don't think bruises are supposed to spread like that.
