My dear friend cb passed away on December 16, in his sleep.
Most of you have probably come across the amazing tickling art of a fellow who went by the nick cb, even if you didn't realize it was his. He was an incredible artist, a wonderful man and the main reason I met my soon-to-be-husband ShemthePenman. cb and I met in the #tickling channel on Dalnet in IRC a few years ago, where he was running the channel. He tried to be fair but firm, and always had a wonderful sense of humor. His tickling art blew me away, and his gentle soul under his tough Southern exterior endeared me to him. He 'left' the channel to me to run when he needed a break over a year ago, and filling his shoes has not been easy.
I'm sure that wherever there is a cache of great tickling pictures on the web, you'll find some of cb's in there. I am particularly saddened that since I upgraded my computer and lost almost all of my files, I can't even attach anything of his here. Maybe one or more of you will in his memory.
For the last couple of years he had pretty much kept to himself and would not be online much, but we would talk on the phone or IRC occasionally, and we talked at least a week before he passed. His death was sudden but peaceful, and his daughter was letting his remote friends know by replying to his e-mail. For any of you who remember cb, say a little prayer of whatever kind for him, and hope that he's tickling all the angels he can get his hands on.
We will miss you, my friend.
