Since we still have at least a few more days left of this ungodly heat,.... and since I am about to be forced into spending about an hour or so outdoors, I thought I'd share a little trick we used to employ back in my contracting days building houses. On extremely hot days, all the carpenters would take an aspirin in the morning,.... maybe just a half of an aspirin. Not an advil or tylenol, mind you,.... a good old fashioned Bayer aspirin of salicylic acid. Keeps the blood thin and temperature down,... wards off heart attacks.. You still have to drink lots of water and take frequent cool-off breaks,.... but the aspirin gives you a slight chemical advantage.
