A very interesting question to discuss....that very intereses me for many years:
Is is possible to make an unticklish person ticklish??

Probably not, but....

My theory is that everybody is ticklish, or can be ticklish given the right circumstances. People who "aren't ticklish" just have good defenses. Catch them by surprise in an awkward position, and many times they will discover perhaps for the first time in their lives, they are ticklish.

Certain physical and mental conditions generally increase ticklishness. Nervousness, increased heart rate, uncertainty...these are big contributers to ticklishness. A sense of being trapped and immobile also helps.

Hope this helps. 🙂

I'm not going to try to make someone ticklish! If someone isn't, and you wish they were, then that's lamentable...but in most cases they're going to feel uncomfortable from your efforts, anyway. Look, there are so many freakin' people out there who ARE! People who squirm and scream from the slightest touch, people who even like having fingers applied to them. Why would you agonize over people who aren't? 😱

Some people just aren' ticklish anywhere, but they are in the minority generally speaking. With most people they're ticklish to varying degrees in various places at different times. Sometimes it's just a case of getting the time right, others it can be useful to judiciously apply something like baby oil to make the skin more slippery and thus more ticklish. Ice can be ticklishly agonising too.

Depending on how BDSM'ish you want to get, bastinado (coropral punishment on the soles of the feet with a cane, belt, riding crop, wooden spoon etc.) has enhanced the ticklishness of the lee's feet by about triple, both times I've used it!

Don't worry, I'm not trying to make someone ticklish...it's just a question to discuss about....it's tickling discussion forum isn't it?

Yes

But the surgery is not permitted in the United States.😛 😉

Really? I would think that this DEsensitizes the feet. Please tell me more.

The first time I used it I was smacking the girl's bare soles with my leather gun-belt. Being a bit of a sadist at heart the squeaking and facial contorition were quite adoreable on their own.
However when I then hooked her ankles and resumed tickling, her reaction went through the roof. (We had already been playing for 3 or 4 hours.)
Second time I used a wooden spoon to smack a different girl's soles. The reaction was less pronounced, but it definately magnified the ticklishness of her feet.

With some people this doesn't work, but with most I've talked to and both I've tried it on, it does. It works by bringing the blood to the surface of the skin (making the soles glow) which puts the nerves on overdrive. When tickled it then feels like an explosion and the first girl I did this to actually gasped in surprise and horror at the increased sensation before the laughing resumed. :blaugh:

I also enjoy it for it's own sake, as well as it's effect on ticklishness.

hmmmm...

true there are probably some people who simply aren't ticklish at all but i think that maybe it is a result of a tickler not being creative or skilled enough. i have seen many real life tickles and have been a part of some... i have to say that people that aren't really interested in tickling like people like us are usually suck pretty bad and use the same style and technique (i.e. wiggle fingers back and forth.)

I myself had a crush on a girl and thought that her feet were not ticklish at all until finally she was put under the right conditions... and her reaction was quite hysterical. If you wanna hear the story you can read my thread in the "Post Stories" section of the forum.

Just try different stuff... like i said earlier there probably are some people who are truly not ticklish at all but i think that they a fewer than many people think.
