A Watermark Program Question

Ive been searching for about an hour, and I've found little that I can go on, so I turn to the members of the TMF and TT to help me.

I'm looking for a watermarking program that I can use to mark my videos, without having their quality reduced. I have tried watermark master, which didn't work too well. It worked slowly and the video quality of a short five minute video was drastically reduced.

Is there anyone who knows of a better program, that can be used on these videos?

I patiently await your responses.

Thanking you in advance,

J.C.

Hey Jesus!

Man...I recently went through the same, exact, issue!!!

In-fact, I recently put watermarks on every clip that I had in my store.

I actually found a way to place my watermark through Windows Movie Maker....without losing quality...directly within the program as well! If you have the option "Title on Selected Clip" within the title menu...with a little time, you can position the watermark. Catch is, I had to go on technical message boards to figure out exactly how to position the logo, because of the limited options within the program. Pretty much had to alter, within the program files, the available types of title animations, to correctly position the watermark. Quite confusing really!

I have Corel Video Studio as well...and utilize this program at times...but really prefer Windows Movie Maker, due to the faster publishing times...and consistency.

Not sure if this info helped man...hopefully so!

Thank you very much Rook, though I have done that to some success, it's not as close to the corner of the screen as I'd like. Alas. But your input was still appreciated.

Customer response to watermarks?

I recently put watermarks on every clip that I had in my store.

Ryan,

I'm curious if you've had any customer feedback on that. Have you found your videos appearing "in the wild" with no attribution back to you? (Not being argumentative, just wondering what led you to put a watermark on every video--even those purchased).

Mainly, I ask because I considered that at the start of my store, and decided not to, since there are so many other places my site name appears on the videos (wmv meta fields, titles at front and back, etc.). If I start seeing stills ripped from my videos and posted without attribution, I'll certainly watermark every frame...

How are customers receiving the watermark decision?

Russ
