It may be because the picture is hosted elsewhere, and then inserted into the signature, and the coding it takes to make the picture show up is less than five lines.
ok i was editing my siggy quotes and had less than five and it kept coming up error..i'm getting a bit pissed cuz i see others with more than five lines..i mean maybe six or so...what gives?
Not to sound grumpy or anything, but if it was up to me, sigs would be under, like, three lines or so. People get too carried away with them, methinks.
well i understand the need for a limit..i'm not complaining about that..i wished to add one more thing to mine, and an error kept popping up..then i deleted some lines..and it still happened..i'm not saying we should be allowed to have line after line after line..ack of course not..but i've noticed a few member's siggy quotes with six lines instead of five..that's all...
Huge animated signatures are technically not allowed, but that rule is not enforced very well. I find it necessary to keep sigs turned off because the big ones slow browsing unreasonably. The five-lines rule is probably a forum setting that includes vB code and URL's, not just display lines.
