So I am planning on working out this summer, I've decided I want to get in shape and I want to work my fat into muscle and ton myself. This is a big step for me since I don't have much confidence in my looks and feel like I am ugly an fat (no thanks to people making gestures, patting my stomach, and mom constantly saying i'm fat). Now with that said i had a thought, right now i have a gut and I am pretty flabby in most places. Will getting muscle and abs actually increase my sensitivity?

having been both buff and fluffy at times :lol ... I find it makes little difference .... you may find your stomach a bit less sensitive to tickling when you have very low body fat but still if you are ticklish now, you will be ticklish ... I always am! :blush

Speaking from my own very limited personal experience, I'm going to say that losing fat and gaining muscle/noticeable abs doesn't make a HUGE difference. Others might dispute what I'm saying, and that's totally cool. Again, LIMITED PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. I've always been insanely ticklish, and my weight has fluctuated. I've had a few pokes & prods, and occasional tickles, to my midsection at a pudgy weight and at a oh-hey-lookit-dem-abs weight, and I didn't notice much of a difference in how much it tickled. Of course, the ticklings themselves were so spaced out that maybe I couldn't make a good judgement call on which was "worse" for me...Hmm.

Someone who actually knows what they're talking about, please stop my babbling and jump in for me? 😛

hehehehe well said tickle wolf .... our experience has been the same :rolleyes

I haven't noticed any difference with my hubby's abs whether he was lean or slightly rotund at various times over the years.

Personally, I don't think the presence of it or lack of fat will make that much difference as the ticklishness is mostly in the epidermis. However, when it comes to those deadly "squeeze- tickle" areas, I find being fit allows my hubby to grab and dig into those laughter inducing spots..... Like over the knee, the waist, lower back, etc.... But by taking care if your health and building stamina, you'll get to indulge in those increased abilities the next time you want to tickle longer or more ruthlessly in the future!😉

But be careful if you do any martial arts training , as sometimes it can get one into rather ticklish positions! *giggle!* :blushTrust me...I once had to struggle like crazy to not let my trainer see I wanted to die laughing in a hold ...:lol

interesting, thanks for the advice i think but i doubt i have any positions that will allow me to be in a ticklish position with no one to tickle me at the present time ya know. but i never thought about the digging and endurance would be a good thing, i mean i got tickled last year and had pretty good endurance but only for a couple of minutes.

What kind of positions? Lol

I mean i wasn't sure when i made this thread, I remember someone saying there boyfriend ticklishness rose about by like 10 fold when he got abs, so I wasn't very sure.

I've gone through some weight transformation of my own, and recently (between work and occasionally lifting or doing some sit ups) I've gotten a little more muscular than in past years. I definitely don't have a six pack or any definition in my stomach at all, but my upper abs you can kind of feel if I'm flexin' em. Now, maybe I just never noticed before, or maybe previously being chubby made it difficult to access that spot, but some light digging to those muscles there now and I flip out. I'm no doctor or scientist, and it could all be in my head, but it seems like perhaps weight loss / getting in shape can lead to being extra tickly. At the very least, it's great motivation to get moving, huh? lol
