For some reason it appears aspects of my account have been changed and limited without me doing anything to altar any settings. I no longer have the ability to PM friends or anyone for that matter or access the chatroom. When I try a message reads that one reason might be that a moderator may have limited my account settings. I have absolutley no idea why this has come about. If anyone has any explanations or can help resolve this it would be very welcome because to my knowledge, I have not acted in any way to warrant a moderator changing my account and I know I havn't changed any settings.

I show your account as being set in a group which is not permitted to receive PMs. I will contact one of the administrators (Myriads or MTPJeff) and inquire as to why this has occurred. It is likely due to some rules violation.

Using the chatroom and PM's to harrass other members can lead to loss of the areas used for such behavior. This was such a case.

Thank you for the prompt reply and looking into it for me. All I can say is....harass? I haven't harassed anyone?! I've had disagreements with small minorities of people where I've voiced my opinion to them, which to my knowledge was still part of the right to having free speech. And I know that when I've done that I haven't persistently bombarded someone with insulting messages or resorted to foul or abusive language. I've simply given my opinion on someone else's behaviour and left it at that. I wouldn't have gone so far as to call it harasment.

I wonder whether the moderator in question looked into this fairly, or just took someone's word who had a problem with me which is a worrying concept. Either way, I appreciate they have a job to do but I have always conducted myself in a civil manner since joining this site and I would like very much to see this resolved. What's the next move?

I was the mod who looked into this. I was provided with several screen shots of the violations in the chat room, and had PM's forwarded to me that continued it in the on forum PM system.

I look very poorly on people who decide to harrass another member for any reason, and use the TMF to do it. And saw a clear pattern of it here. Thus the removal of access.

I'll call it a temp ban. Contact me 4/1 and I'll restore access.

Alright cheif I'm not gonna argue with your decision but what I am gonna do is defend these accusations.

Firstly there is only one person that comes to mind that might have made them and even that's a stretch to imagine. Second, I have NEVER harassed anyone in the chatroom. The only people I may have had choice words with in the past were those dishing out foul and abusive language to me or friends for treating us with obnoxious behaviour. I find the fact that I have been singled out for something like this quite remarkable. I don't PM people in chat who havn't opened up a dialog with me first. Second, you said you have been forwarded "PM's" as in ploural. Again I have never sent anyone repeated PM's of a harassing nature. The only time I have ever sent anyone a PM that wasn't on a friendly basis was to object to someones behaviour in chat myself. I even made an effort to keep that as civil as possible. I honestly have to question whether you've got the right person here. Did you double check the name because this evidence does not sound consistant with my actions? I consider myself a fair guy and if I thought I'd done something to warrant this I would hold myself accountable and not object but this whole thing is a real head scratcher for me.

I know what I've said and what I havn't said and I know who was there at the time. I can't justify how I'm guilty of anything anymore then the person who's proberbly reported me. Your the mod but I think this whole thing is an injustice and pretty laughable. That's my honest opinion not that it changes anything. Anyway, do what you gotta do.
