Mine too, Mitch, mine too indeed sir!
He was best friends with Gene Wilder and I wished they had been in more movies together besides The Woman In Red. That film was written and directed by Gene Wilder and he wrote his friend a very funny role, and their craft still has me howling even to this day : )
Midnight Run is also one of my all time fave films, as it's a great buddy cop/bounty hunter of a buddy road movie. They did not want Charles Grodin to play Second Fiddle to Robert DeNiro (read here)

If Grodin hadn't gotten the role of The Duke in that film, it wouldn't have become a classic later on after having inspired new filmmakers who would go on to achieve success in the 90s. His performance as a Charlie Brown average joe accountant who rips off the mob is just so funny and he never sniffs like he's acting at all in this film.
But I digress, he's done other great films too. He was the only other actor who could play The Old Man in My Summer Story (again, he had me howling with laughter at how serious he was at being an absurd loose cannon who never wanted to accept defeat lol)
I even loved him in King Kong (movie gets a bad rap, but I dug it for what it was, a monster movie with great actors, including Rene Auborjonis who passed away last year too....
