Adara (might be) coming back...

A new spin on an older original character of mine who hasn't seen much action in quite a long time.

Oddly, this change in outfit/design came from a dream involving her (I tend to 'dream' of my characters sometimes) and, well, it smoothed out into an attempt at breathing more life (?) into this one.

Anyone remember Adara? A cursed crimson-haired half-human, half-vampiress/demoness/something with a sad backstory? Mostly showed up in older Poser pictures and a pair of sketches.

Well, said above dream pictured her with a a bit of a 'dancer-sorceress' spin, and maybe it's time she 'progressed' a bit in design/storyline. The latter comes later, but here's a try at the former.

Adara never had a defined last name, but the phrase 'Bloodmoon' comes to mind with her (and I used it for her 'Guild Wars' rendition way back, as an aside).

Outfit's changed a bit...more flashy. She still has a split cape, but both it and her 'skirts' now have some gemmed-blades dangling for each (to make her 'spins' a bit more lethal 😉 ). Some crescents and a symbol (aka Bloodmoon) here and there for the theme, a few 'fangs' if you look closely (she still has them in her mouth, after all 🙂 ). Netting on the arms, anklets on the legs.

Even a few, well, I call them proto-(Blood)Rayne elements (namely a form of blades on her arms and that obvious 'hair-ring'). ^^

As for the pose, well, it's reused from an ancient pic. Hopefully it fits the theme though.

Will Adara be 'biting back'? We'll see...

How could one prevent a vampire from "biting back"! One can't, not without recourse to pine stakes or garlic... an attitude so ungentlemanly that one dismisses it out of hand (which, of course, is how the Carmilla-style neck-nipper always claims unfair advantage!) Adara's lithe energy enchants with a vitality that compliments her well-tailored togs... design elements deftly interwoven into a daring and charmingly formal fashion combination (capes, however brief, always convey a certain sense of formality). The above-mentioned "incisor" midsection motif is the crowning touch, one which frames a most inviting belly-button! Take care, men... a lure like this invites eternal servitude!

Haven't heard Bloodrayne since ... well, probably since last you mentioned it. 😛 A little bit of flash and flair for Ms. Nosferatu, aye! But it doesn't stray too far from her roots, not with those menacing fangs across her torso. *Thumbs up* :happy:

You have quite an eloquent way with words. ^^ You hit pretty much everything...energetic yet dangerous, formal yet flashy. And yes, that fangs around her belly are very deliberate: would you dare to reach inside them (for a tickle, perhaps)? 🙂

Well, Adara is no Bloodrayne, although she's got a similar theme and feel. Thankee for the comments, and again, I'm glad people notice and like the inviting belly surrounded by warning fangs. 😉
