adding thread start date

Admins,

Is it possible to add the date a thread was started to the information that is displayed in the list of threads? This would make it easier for people to determine if they had already viewed a thread prior to clicking on it and could also lead to reduced bandwidth.

I checked the forums for vbulletin and found that someone claims to have done this, which you can find here http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=63791
Not being a vbulletin subscriber, I was unable to download the change to see what is involved, but I would guess you would need to modify the PHP code for generating the list. So, I think it is possible to do this, but it may be more trouble than you think it is worth. If you aren't interested in trying to hack the code yourself, perhaps as a vbulletin subscriber you could encourage the vbulletin programmers to add this to a future version as an option.

this sounds like a interesting idea. the hollywood brother admits to have never thought of the need for this. however the hollywood brother is thinking that the tickling gods who run this great forum may want to evaluate this suggestion closely
